Hello everyone. Welcome to No/Lo. I decided to create weekly challenges to motivate & inspire myself & others to stop shopping (or shop mindfully) and start crafting. You do not have to post a project to participate in No/Lo. You can just check-in about your week, spending or otherwise & know that someone is listening. You can confess your shopping “sins” if you like Yes, for sure, you can post your projects here! NO/LO Nov 3, 2017 CHECK-IN: Well, I managed to get to my LSS & pick-up my pre-ordered Xmas collections. Let’s just say that I did my part to help support my LSS… lol ORGANIZATION CHALLENGE: I met a major milestone, my cardstock & patterned paper are completely organized. It is so satisfying. I’m still deeply mired in my stamp & punch organization. What are some of your big organizational challenges? Do you have craft books? When was the last time you used them? I challenge you to look over your craft books & maybe even pick out a project to lift. PROJECT CHALLENGE: Let’s scrap those Halloween pages, candy, costumes, decorations, anything goes. CARD CHALLENGE: Make a “sweet” card &/or a get well card featuring bones. BONUS POINTS: Stash-bust: Blocky letters i.e. those cards with a letter on each card. BONUS POINT COLOR COMBO: The beautiful colors from American Crafts BOOtiful Night Collection (suggestion only) Attachments:

Just organized and weeded through my washi tape and pre-made cards. In addition to what I am saving for myself, I have enough cards made to fill three shoeboxes with assorted greeting cards to give as holiday gifts..... I also have a list of the type of cards I need to make to fill gaps in my stash....happy day!

I need to tidy up my table and spend some time using the supplies I bought lately, or I need to put them away. I've gotten to the point where I have too much stuff for the space available and it's bugging me.
And I also need to actually DO the things I put on my to-do list at the beginning of the week. That will get some things off my table too.
That's my weekend challenge to myself.

No spending for me this week- I do have a 20 budget this month, but I am waiting for super good deals so I can get more bang for my buck I organized a few cabinets in my scraproom, I have a couple of drawers left to do and it will be done, oh and I also have my pinkfresh box to still put away- mostly embellies. joblackford I am in the same boat- I have a small space, and a lot of stuff crammed in that space! I had to do some serious organizing because I was just getting overwhelmed. I really want to scrap a lot like I used to, use up the things that I have, but the mojo isn't flowing like it used to-I used to be able to scrap at any given time and crank a page or two out. It really bums me out that I haven't been able to do that for quite some time now.

I haven't bought anything since the Felicity Jane Christmas pre order and my plan is to not buy anything until the black Friday sales. On the plus side I've been making pages like crazy over the last month and although I know I'll slow down as the weather warms up I'm making the most of these last few cold days.

Did major shopping for Christmas gifts yesterday, but even though I was in M's and at a LSS, I limited my purchases for ME to a couple of replacement Dylusions paints, and a TH Oxide Spiced Marmelade ink pad. (Of course in the interests of full disclosure, I have an package filled with Christmas dies and outline stickers on its way to me from Elizabeth Crafts... (ordered a few weeks ago; not here yet; so it doesn't count, right?)
I have a ton of Halloween and fall photos to scrap, and I would love to--and may yet--take up your challenge to scrap them. But I NEED to finish the family reunion album so it can be printed for Christmas gifts. Did some at the crop in October and a few more pages while I had some down time visiting the kids, but I still need at least a half day to finish that, and I may have to make that a priority and not let myself eat sweet dessert (scrapping latest photos) until I have eaten my broccoli (finished the reunion project).

I haven't bought anything in about a month. The last thing I bought was for a themed album that I got started on and finished right away so it was put to good use. Almost nothing went into my stash. I don't have any plans to buy anything anytime soon but I wouldn't say I'm frozen. If I come across a great deal on one of the daily deal sites I'l buy it but only if I feel it would be useful to me.
Once I finished that themed album I realized that I kind of forgot where I was in my other scrapping. Was I working on redoing some hideous old layouts or was I working on more recent pictures? I need to spend some time organizing a few things and making a to do list. I accomplish more in all areas of my life when I have a to do list. No time is wasted on deciding what to do. I just move on to the next item on the list. So I'll be working on that today.

Elsabelle isn't it amazing how quickly we forget where we were when we stop a project? I find that all the time when I'm doing genealogy - I figure I'll get right back to it but then other stuff gets in the way and before I know it a month has passed and I have no idea what I was researching or what I planned to do next. I need a log or a list too! Good news: having accountability here pushed me to get my tasks done! The most important bits anyway - taking photos of some cards for my etsy shop and creating the listings. No point in making these things for my shop and then not getting around to listing them. And I'm an "out of sight, out of mind" person, so they were sitting on my desk to remind me to get them done... now they can go away in my inventory ottoman, if I can find space in there >.< Off to tidy up and organize now!

woodysbetty You are so organized... sigh! joblackford Sometimes I think I should make a ToDo list album, at least then it would serve a purpose... lol. I'm the same when it comes to genealogy, I get lost down the rabbit hole. dasmith2 I'm so happy/sad that I missed out on the Pink Fresh Studio box, I love their stuff :-( Chinagirl828 I've learned from doing No/Lo this year is that I am better able to NOT spend from Jan to Sept. Since Sept temptations have been much greater, warehouse boxes, companies going out of business, December Daily temptation & all the Halloween, Christmas lines. Still to go this year, Black Friday/Cyber Monday, Xmas/Boxing Day sales... so tough. That's the good thing about reorganizing, seeing how much I really have, what an eye opener! grammadee Feel free to post whatever you're working on here, the challenges are just to get our mojo going, if your mojo is already going, well, YAY! Elsabelle I wish I was disciplined enough to do that with my ToDo list.
