Three packages in four days. I am a huge Amazon shopper and Christmas is coming. Guess i will be looking at a mailbox rental store that takes packages.
People suck.

I used to have a lot of things delivered to my work address, if that is an option for you. In my current neighborhood, things can sit on my porch for days without issues. Not that I do that intentionally, but I do a lot by mail (thanks Amazon prime) and have great neighbors as well.

We had cameras installed when we had a package stolen (with 3 pairs of shoes). Thankfully Macy's replaced them all. I order a lot from Amazon as well.
Good luck.

I had that happen one year. I think it was one of neighbors, because otherwise, someone was outside and watched the mailman bring all his mail in, waited for him to sort it into the boxes and drop off the packages, and then came into the building and stole the stuff after the mailman left. (I mean, I know people drive around looking for packages and stuff, but who wants to sit around and wait for a mailman to finish all the sorting? Just drive to the next house.)
It was stuff from eBay for my sister and for me, so I didn't feel right even telling the sellers, and I was more upset that they stole her presents than my impulse buys.
Yeah, people suck.

would it be possible for either of you to have packages delivered at your workplace? That's what we do sometimes. When I'm expecting something, I just tell the warehouse supervisor to keep an eye out for it.

Cameras! They were the best thing we ever did. It's so nice to be able to check in from anywhere and to have recordings in case anything happens!
They were inexpensive and our quality is amazing Compared to the fuzzy nonsense on the news.
I can see the face of someone walking by my cars in the street from the back corner of my house.

Do you have Amazon lockers near you? They are a great delivery alternative. I also like to pick up my packages at the FedEx office. USPS packages are still vulnerable though.

I would recommend using the Amazon lockers - worked great for me when packages were being stolen in the neighborhood.
And for those who say install cameras, having pictures of the thief doesn't solve the problem. We had pictures, as did several others, but police aren't going to issue an all points for package theft and the post office didn't care enough to even take a copy. Others in the neighborhood tried posting videos of thieves on social media hoping someone would recognize them, but nothing came of that either.

I'm sorry. What other options do Amazon offer in your area, alt pick ups locations, lockers etc? Did you see that Amazon are thinking of a new system called Amazon Key where the driver can open your front door and put the packages inside? Pretty sure I would never take up that service. www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-41747074

I would also get the Amazon lockers. Or have it delivered to you at work or to a neighbor who is home. When we lived in CA. We had 6, yes 6 cameras, up around our house (corner lot). My car was broken into and our next door neighbors house was broken into in broad daylight. Our cameras picked up both incidents. Do you think it helped catch the guys or get our things back? No. The police were to busy and they told us if they caught guys who looked like the ones in the video, it might help to convict them. But they had to prove it was them.

Call me small minded, but I’d been setting up some fake boxes...40 pounds of kitty litter....new or used, your choice...crumpled up newspaper with a note about the other guy that got there first...an empty Apple product box coated in mysterious white powder...a creepy old doll from the thrift shop with a note about it being returned to you because it’s haunted...you get the idea.

We can lock our house from our garage, so I would just do that and have them leave our packages in the garage.

I would imagine that house insurance companies would have a problem with that arrangement too.

Wouldn't it be fun to watch the thieves faces as they opened those packages??!! Thankfully, we've never had that problem where we're located but I think if we did, I'd seriously consider getting the Amazon locker or have my packages delivered to my work address, if allowed.

That sucks royally We have never had any issues thankfully ... It sounds like having your packages delivered to a different location might be your only option which is probably inconvenient ... Thieves are losers with no thought about the effect they have on the victim

I haven't had any issues but then again I am home most days, or someone else is but..... that being said, I might look into Amazon lockers to see if that is available with Christmas coming. I think they have them at the Safeway near my house and I didn't know what they were.
I am sorry that thieves are so prevalent these days. It sucks!
