Hey everyone! I went to see "A Bad Moms Christmas" with my ladies meetup group last night ... it was really funny Dd#1 isn't going to be home for dinner so I don't need to worry about her complaints So we are having grilled burgers for dh and dd#2 ... I'll bake up a chicken burger for myself ... I'll make some some sort of salad to go with Here is what I posted on FB today ... my two cats were waiting impatiently at my bedroom door when I came out What is on your menu tonight?

Dh and I are having beef stew again. Dd will cook something for herself and dgd. I’m thinking dd may be dinner thread picky offspring #5 or 6 or...she eats less and less of what we cook lately and she’s 27!!! Dgd is a pretty good eater but struggles with some meats (she’s been slow getting teeth). ETA: I didn’t get any great photos of Ally as Alice on Halloween but here’s one...

Something hot! I'm freezing and it's on the beginning of November! Have to go grocery shopping as soon as DH gets home with my car.

We ate the leftover pizza for lunch, so now I must come up with something for dinner. My options are few because DH's stomach continues to be an issue. Rice is always an option, but rather boring. I'm a bit jealous of some of your dinners. On a more positive note...we are enjoying picture perfect fall weather. I'll be outside this afternoon to drink it in.

I just put together this make-ahead breakfast enchilada casserole that was posted a couple days ago. I'll let it sit for a couple of hours and then I'll bake it for a late brunch/early dinner. I have a feeling it needs more seasoning (I did add some crushed red pepper) but will give it a try this way first. KelleeM, what a cutie-pie! Thanks for posting pix. cadoodlebug, for gosh sake, make up your mind! Two weeks ago you were complaining about 100 degree weather, and today you're complaining about how cold it is. JK, I'm cold too. But damn, I don't miss that heat. tuesdaysgone, I'm sorry about your husband's health issues. Poor guy.

I'm not sure yet. I am having a high queasy day (really all weekend) and I don't really want anything. At some point I will eat because I need to...weird, right? Maybe more chicken noodle soup? I seem to be eating that a lot.

It has been a rough few days in the scribe's kitchen. No honors, no mighty wings of deliciousness have come forth. In fact, I burned myself badly on the non-dominant fingers. Mighty forces of Neosporin are reigning and we have had leftovers and cheese sandwiches for a couple of days.
So, today is a tried and true, easy to do in my sleep day. The last of the fresh basil and tomatoes went into a pie and the new apples from the local farmer went into a 2nd pie, this one free form. I do have vanilla ice cream. Dd coming over to talk finances (ugh) and bringing chicken and broccoli.
Thanks for the thread. I have a new recipe (from vowing to eat something different on the other thread, trying new recipes, and posting results) waiting in the recipe file. That's for tomorrow.

Rainy and yucky here for the second day, and of course it's warm. The bottom drops out once this front goes through though. Anyway, I bought one of those Jennie-O turkey breasts that you can allegedly cook from frozen. We shall see. And there will be mashed potatoes, gravy, stove top, and corn to go with.

We're away with friends for the long weekend - 4 adults and 4 kids. Last night the adults went to a cosy little country pub for dinner and the kids stayed home and had butter chicken that I'd cooked for them. At the pub we shared a tasting plate. Then I had pommes frites with cheese kransky, chipotle mayo and sauerkraut.

leannec, so glad you enjoyed the movie. I have to rent the first one. KelleeM , your dgd is really cute. tuesdaysgone , I'm sorry that your dh's tummy is bothering him. Will he need to see his doctor? Hoping he feels better quickly. desertgirl , I'm sorry that you have an owie. Silvadene cream does wonders for burns and I think you can get it from your nearest chain pharmacy. anxiousmom , there is a bug going around that makes you very queasy for a day or two. Dh and I both had it and then relapsed. DOH! Not sure if it's that or your Kloni, but I hope it stops right away. You've been through enough. Oh, forgot to post my dinner. Ds and I went college touring, again. I really liked the campus we saw today and so did he. My other ds is happy at his campus. I notice that we have been hearing from him a lot more. He was stressed from mid-terms and leaned on his mom and dad. Awww. His girlfriend will be visiting him next weekend, so I'll be baking goodies for him, as well as buying his favorite snack foods and sending down a care package. I can't believe I haven't seen him in 6 weeks. That's way too long. After an early am college trip I came home and made PW's chicken and noodles. I was going to make eclairs as a treat, but I think I'm ready to be done! I think... Have a great rest of your day.

I just wanted some time for nice weather between the heat and the cold. I wanted warm. I blame it on my stupid thyroid as my body thermostat is totally wacky.

The beef stew I made last night in the IP was the bomb! Either we will have leftovers of that, order a pizza, or make burgers and fries tonight. After the hubs wakes from his nap ( )we have to go move some stuff around the garage so I can get my car in there. We got a couple inches of snow last night and it's no fun getting into a cold snowy car!

scrapmaven I think it is a combo of the klonopin and the equilibrium issues. Either way, I have noticed that I am forcing myself to eat lately because I have been queasy more than usual. It's like...morning sickness all day and me and the Saltines have become good friends again. lol

KelleeM, your dgd is adorable as Alice. Did you make the dress for her? (Wherever it's from, it's lovely.) desertgirl, sorry about the burns. A few years ago, I had a burn serious enough that I took myself to the doctor to figure out how to dress it appropriately. I was surprised when she said to keep it moist with vaseline. That said, I am a big fan of neosporin with pain relief if it still hurts, but the vaseline is so much cheaper! Dinner tonight is zuppa toscana, at SO's request because it's cold (45 F) and wet. I don't mind the outside temp, though-- stays cooler inside. My electric bill is seventy bucks cheaper for October than it was for September!

My daughter chose it on Amazon and I reluctantly bought it. It was a bit pricey but the quality is excellent. I hope she’ll wear it a few times...dh thinks she should wear it on Thanksgiving and pass herself as a pilgrim 😊

My dad and I are having BBQ chicken, salad and asparagus for dinner. I think there is leftover rice in the fridge so I will heat that up for me. DS is going out with his other brother (the BFF) and family for BFF's birthday dinner. That is sweet so I hope they have a nice time. I am sure they all will. This is the young man I call my other son. I love him and his family so much!

KelleeM, such a cutie! desertgirl, I recently burned myself and I second the silvadene suggestion. I went to Dad's for dinner. He cooked us fish and shrimp. Pinwheel cookies for dessert. Here's me and dad.

It was the last nice day here so we grilled pork tenderloin and I made spicy roasted cauliflower and Brussel sprouts. I had all the stuff for green salad and forgot to make it. I also made stuffed peppers for the crockpot later this week and lemon blueberry bread. I’ll probably go back to my parents this week so I made extra to take for them.

Well I can't come up with a four letter description. So Meat loaf , one with olives, one without. Mashed potatoes Peas with French fried onions. Garlic cream gravy. For sweet: Freddy's had those ocean spray mocktails on clearance. It was a nice drink to have with such heavy food. momMy daughter made her first meal. She was over the moon telling us how good kale with sauté shallots was.

jeremysgirl....aww----what a CUTE pik of you and your Dad (and his shirt is fun!) It makes me miss my sweet Dad, who we'll be seeing at Christmas. scrapmaven.....Did you end up making eclairs after all? Funny you mentioned them; I've had a HUGE craving for them for a couple weeks, but still haven't made any. My Mom's recipe is SO yummy---the "puff" part comes out do light and fluffy, and then the custard filling and chocolate icing--- ---oh nooo, now I REALLY want to make them, but it's too late to run to the grocery store!
