I read a thread a few weeks ago and y'all mentioned "kringles". Hmmmm, it just seems like another pastry. At Trader Joe's. Glad it doesn't sound like anything I really need as we don't have a TJ's anywhere near us.
Until today. I spent the weekend with my 2 older kiddos. They live in a little city with an Aldi. I always make a stop in there while I am there. Of course with the time change, I woke up early as did DD. We decided to head to Aldi before DS woke up. We thought we would just get breakfast items. Well, I did a mini shopping trip also. Saw a really interesting fruitcake something or other but the dried fruit completely overrode any thought of goodness to me. Even with all the powdered sugar on top. So as we got to the check out lane, I saw these flat trays.
KRINGLES! They had raspberry and almond. I grabbed an almond. I am trying to cut out sugar but, well, this just called out to me. I threw it in the buggy. After getting home this evening, I decided I had to try this thing out. After the first bite, I sent a text to DD and told her to get by there tomorrow and grab another and throw it in the freezer. This is going to be a Christmas morning treat.
Thank you, Peas!

They are really yummy. I try to avoid them because I'm doing WW...but I bought a pumpkin one last month. Yum.

It’s a good thing I still can’t drive because otherwise I would *probably* find a reason to be over by Aldi over the next couple days and *probably* one of those raspberry kringles would find its way to my house...
