Apparently they could be visible in the skies above us tonight although the further north you are the better your chance of seeing them. I think it's forecast to be quite cloudy but you never know! Scottish peas - let us know if you see them - gillyp, Jockscrap et al.

Scottish peas - let us know if you see them - gillyp , Jockscrap et al They were dancing here the other night. The photos are lifted from Facebook and taken by Highland Aerial Views. They normally take drone photos but did the lights on Monday I think it was. What we tend to see from the house is undulating curtains of green or white light. The best view is through a long exposure setting rather than the naked eye, I’ve been told. I’ve never seen them as good as these photos irl. ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/thumbnailer/oEb0lkSgJRwFPwAwWuRR.png) It’s horrid here at the moment, heavy black clouds and rain but I shall certainly take a looksie later tonight in the hope the sky clears.

We do gar Very lucky to have no light pollution because there are no street lights near us and although we are on a hill the land is pretty flat so we have huge skies. We can see the Milky Way with the naked eye and at the moment there is a rainbow stretching from the horizon on the left to the one on the right. There are some compensations to living in the back of beyond. The answer to your question, though, is yes. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

One of my friends shared gorgeous pictures of the N.L. From her flight home from Copenhagen yesterday.

We did the whole Santa thing and got to go on Skiddoos, reindeer sleigh and do husky racing etc and stayed in a beautiful cabin in the woods. My DDs were quite little we had 4 magical days seeing more snow than we'd seen in our lives ending with a visit to Santa's cabin. It was a memory we love.

The storm is from the 7 - 9th so keep your eyes out for them again tonight. Not sure if it's supposed to be as strong tonight, for you to see them in England. Funny that I'm as far north as Glasgow and see them all the time (or could if I am up), throughout the year. And Calgary (outside the city limits) sees them quite a few times a month but England never seems to see them.
Good luck in seeing them, they are spectacular!

They reckon they could be seen as far south as Devon tonight. Best time for most of England apparently, is between 9pm and midnight. Think I'll get my camera ready just in case we're lucky

Too much light pollution around us unfortunately. We'd have to drive a fair bit to have a chance of seeing them. We were lucky enough to have a spectacular display in Iceland in April.
