Both of my dogs have had some poopy problems for two days. And today Ollie brought this to me on the patio. Anyone know what it is, it’s not something growing in my yard. It must be falling over the fence from a neighbor.

I can tell you what it not. Catalpa, castor, chestnut, or birch

It does look vaguely like a milkweed pod.

Break it open.
It could be a form of magnolia, rhododendron, or azalea

Looks like honeyvine milkweed to me. I have some in my yard and it's a horrible pest weed that is pretty much impossible to eradicate. If it is honeyvine milkweed it is non toxic.

There is a huge magnolia in a neighbors yard. We have azaleas in our yard, but they’re the little ones.

The milkweed in our area is much bumpier on the outside. And the seeds inside are tiny, not big like that.

That's definitely honeyvine milkweed. We've got it all over our yard.
