I'm looking for a program like windows photo gallery. I had a hard drive go out and I was still using windows 7. I now have windows 10 and it does not have windows photo gallery which I loved. Don't know why they got rid of it??? Is there something out there like it? I have photoshop Elements 5.0 that I use for scrap booking (when I use to do it ) but it's not like windows photo gallery. TIA

My windows 10 has a photo gallery. Go to the start button and choose "photo" from the alphabetized list. As long as you are uploading your photos into the preset "pictures" file in Windows 10, the gallery will auto-populate. Subfolders are fine. It will find any photos you put in that file no matter what else is in the subfolders.

Like tagging and face recognition?

I never used those features so I have no idea if it does or not.
I just played with it a bit. It did recognize my middle dd and pull up all the photos with her in them. I didn't find a tagging feature.

If you go to albums, it pops a search bar into the top right corner. let your cursor hover in the box and it will give you the option to search for people. you can choose "all people and it will give you thumbnails of everyone you have multiple pictures of. Click one and they should all pop up.

I don't know how true that is but the other day when I uploaded from my phone a tutorial pop up.

I don't know how well this will work but if you go into settings in the photo app you can turn on facial detection. Once you do that the app automatically goes through and groups all of the photos a particular person appears in. Then you can go into the search bar and there will be frequently seen people who come up first, and more people if you click on the dots. I'm not sure what you want to do once you find all of the photos but you can make albums etc after you find the photos you're looking for.

I’m not familiar with that program. I also use PS elements to digital scrapbook, and I store the photos in Dropbox Pro (I think that’s the name?), as elements is not compatible with Apple’s Pictures program. Do you need more than storage?
