I’m making about 15 cards. I have 2 designs I came up with so I’ll be doing some of each. If you do Christmas/holiday cards do you do them all alike or do you go with a couple of designs? Or maybe even do a few special cards for close friends or family?

All alike until I have odd amounts of scraps. Those are usually cut into strips instead of using a solid piece of cardstock or pattern paper for the background. ETA: I'll probably make my mom's different because the ones for my son's teachers and aides are juvenile looking.

Mostly all alike because I find it hard enough to come up early th one design let alone more! I normally test out a few options and go with the one I like best.

Normally, they are all alike but this year they are all different because I made them as part of my 100day project in the spring.

The ones I send tend to all be different, although sometimes if I come up with a design I really like, I'll make half a dozen the same. For my customers, I give them about thirty different designs to choose from, but I hate when they all go for the same ones!

I make mine all the same and something that can be mass produced easily. I know I shouldn't do this but to the people that I know who will appreciate the effort of a hand-made card might get a little more sparkle or something extra. But basically it's the same design.

I used to make them different but since having my kid I do them the same because now I do photo cards. Everyone wants pics of our kid because we don’t ever post them on Facebook.

I make about 50 cards every year and they are all the same. The design is never simple and they take me weeks to produce, but I love making them and many people that receive them have told me that they save them year I tried to make them different - 5 or so of each design - and I hated every one of them! I always use the first one (my prototype) in a scrapbook layout so I've got one to look back on as well. I didn't do this for the first couple of years, but I'm definitely glad I started!

I get tired of making the same thing. I have to make a few different designs, otherwise I lose interest really quick and it feels more like a chore than like crafting / creating. I'm making about 150 cards- for the swap here, and for friends/family- and I have about 5-6 different card designs I'm using for inspiration.

I'm making cards for the first time this year, and I'm making them all alike. But not again! The next time, they'll be different from each other. I need the variety to keep it fun for me.
I only have a few elements left to add to them, and for those parts I'll be mixing it up a little, just for me.

12 cards per design. Boredom sets in earlier but I'm not sure I can come up with more than 20 designs per year.

I'm making them for the swap here, and so far I've got 6-7 designs going. They are all simple but time consuming to cut, put together, sign, etc.
I could never make them all the same. I get one done, and I think, "oh, I should..." And the next one looks better. Lol and so on, and so on...

I make 100 to 150 cards each year for the past 8 years plus this year. They are all the same for several reasons. 1. It's hard to come up with a design in the first place. 2. I have known the recipients ("cyber-ly") for many years, and they know each other. I don't want anyone to feel someone got a better card. 3. It is easier for me to make all the parts, then assemble them. 4. I make my own envelopes because they should match the cards. 5. having a dedicated studio, I can just leave everything out and come back days later and pick up where I left off. 6. I truly like the whole process.

I do two different designs. I only do 30 or so now, down from 60. I get too bored otherwise. This is my 19th year!

I can barely make two cards exactly the same to save myself, unless they're the simplest sticking a cut-apart on the front of a base type of card - but then they're all the same but still different. I'm working with a pretty limited number of variations, I guess, but they're not identical (unless it's a photo card type of thing). My cards aren't highly creative compared to many people's, but I tend to work with the pieces I have in front of me and come up with something that works for that die cut+paper. If I was stamping I would do more cards the same.
I've made 60 simple cards in the last 2 days for a card drive, and I have another 140 in a stack for the card exchange, plus the 50 or so that I made in July to sell. I don't think more than a handful are identical.
The problem I have is that I make all these different cards and then have to decide who gets which one. It would be a lot easier if they were all identical! And the recipients don't mind either way.

I usually make 6-8 different designs, and even with those, some of the designs are not repeated exactly - I'll switch the paper or colors on a few, just to keep things different and interesting. Like MDscrapaholic, I also keep improving and tweaking with each card.

I do one design. I like to just do an assembly line thing to get them done. My family has come to expect a great card from me, and I think would be disappointed if card a was better than card b. But I'm now always trying to top myself. Last year I did a slider. This year the entire front of the card is a shaker!

I make cards in groups of 6 to 10 at a time, usually based on the same design with the same set of supplies, but even then, they aren't all exactly identical. With that many, I have the patience to do assembly line production without getting bored. After I finish a set of cards, I often challenge myself to put together a few more using the scraps from that batch.
I enjoy playing with paper, so I don't stress about finding the perfect design. If I had 15 cards to make in all they may each be completely unique.

I do cards in batches so for example last year for the peas Christmas card swap I had several different designs. I try to make at least 8 of one design. I did a few one sheet wonder sets last year those are great for cranking out a bunch of cards in one sitting!

This year and last, all different. I'm determined to use up my scraps - I thought I had "used them up" last year, but I still had a bit more. So doing different again. It's stretching my creativity, but it's definitely slower than a single design.

I did a few one sheet wonder sets last year those are great for cranking out a bunch of cards in one sitting! I found some instructions for cards that were similar to this using 5 or 6 pieces of coordinating 6x6 papers; it was great for making a set of coordinated colored cards very quickly. (of course, now I can't find where I put the directions, lol.)

Chicnscratch on YouTube has several great videos and she also does a blog write with the directions too of her one sheet wonder sets.

Mine are generally all the same. When I'm using a patterned paper for the background, then I vary that since I generally only have 2-3 sheets of each patterned paper. If I'm using an embossing folder for the background, then they tend to be the same.
I used to make 60+ Christmas cards, but now I'm down to less than 40. I used to give to all our co-workers, but I'm hesitant to do that at my current workplace.

I make them all alike and make them assembly line style. Cut and fold all the base cards. Cut all the panels, etc.
I make about 30-ish cards.

Exactly the same for me I usually do about 12-14 of each design, but I'm trying to bump that up to 20 per design. I do make two special religious Christmas cards for dh's aunt/uncle and my sister's in-laws. But everyone else gets one of the mass produced cards.

I will pick out the cards that turned out best, or maybe add a few extra details to a couple, and make those the ones I send to my family members. But that's about it for the special-ness of them. That is, since my BF's Grandma passed away, anyway- she LOVED getting handmade cards from us every holiday; no one else really says anything about it.

I make cards with my mom. I lean to more the unique side of things, and she likes to mass produce, so we usually end up with a compromise of 4 or 5 designs and we each do between 5 and 10 of each design. I started to give homemade cards at work, and people keep them! I see them pinned up on cubicle walls all year long, so I feel like it is something I have to continue. Usually for my work cards I try to pick something a bit more simple and mass produce those.

I make mine with scraps - because I scrap 8.5x11 and mostly buy 12x12 paper, I seem to have an endless supply of scraps. So it's rare that more than a couple of exactly the same but I often use the same sketch for many cards
