Does Kohl's usually do Fiesta deals for the holidays? I seem to remember big sales in the spring, but not around the holidays.
I am trying to keep an eye out for good deals and start my collection to replace my over 22-year-old set of Longaberger stoneware. I have loved that stuff to death, but it's time for something new, and Fiesta seems to fit the bill. Plus, I can finally put something colorful and attractive in my kitchen cabinets with glass doors, LOL.
I do have one concern about the Fiesta, though. Do you Fiesta lovers have any problems with the bottom of one plate scratching the top of the one below it when they are stacked? My Longaberger is glazed on the bottom and still looks pretty good after all these years of daily use and being stacked in my cabinets. I can always get one of those racks that lets you put the plates in a vertical position if I have to, so I won't let "scratchy bottoms" deter me from the Fiesta. I was just wondering.
Thanks!
ETA: I did check the website, and there are place settings for $23.99 to $27.99 before the 15 % discount coupon and Kohl's cash. Is that the "good price" at Kohl's?

I bought mine at Kohls, but I don't recall when exactly (4 or 5 years ago after I admired a large collection at a bed and breakfast we stayed at in Asheville, North Carolina). I bought 10 place settings in all different colors. I don't have any problem with the stacked plates scratching. I absolutely LOVE opening the cabinet and seeing the beautiful colored dishes. I like that I can add to the collection anytime and they're American made. I know they're not cheap, but they have held up very well to daily use in my very busy home. I hope you enjoy your new Fiesta!

I think this is an EXCELLENT time to get them at Kohls with the various discounts that you can apply.

I've had my Fiesta for about 3 years now, and no problems whatsoever with scratching. It gets heavy use and is frequently re-stacked less than carefully by my teenage daughters. It's very durable.

The best sale price I have bought Fiesta at Kohl's was for $22 a set. That was in December.
Macy's also has good sales as does Homer Laughlin.
Just be warned, Kohl's has terrible shipping with their Fiesta. I highly suggest buying in person and checking every piece.

With their discount codes over Veteran's day weekend you could get the 5 piece place setting with a free fruit bowl to make 6 pieces total for $14. Back in the spring when I bought some more for my daughter it was about the same price or a dollar less.

Wait until they come out with their 30% code. A good price is anything under $16/set. I want to say last year they were about $12 or $13? That said, be very careful if you decide to order from Kohl's. I have a store nearby so I always switch out sets that I feel are flawed. Even then, I have to order replacement sets online as my Kohl's doesn't carry all the colors or many of the 4pc sets. If you don't have a store nearby, it can be a huge hassle to return defective sets. I'm not talking just about small bumps, but noticeable ones like bumps that you can feel on the mug handles, missing glaze on plates, chips and glazing cracks. I've ordered Fiesta plates from Amazon and didn't have a problem so I really question whether quite a few of these sets are considered seconds.

I bought 10 sets at my local Kohl's a few years ago and didn't have any issues except for a broken cup, which I was able to return.

That's what I was thinking. I now order extra sets because I know that I'll have to swap out pieces in order to get one decent set. The funny thing is that it isn't just with sets. I've purchased bowls and the poor packaging ended up scratching a few. I've purchased several of the larger mugs. One mug was cracked due to poor packaging, but several were flawed with deep scratches (likely Kohl's fault for how they are storing them) and glazing flaws/cracks or the darned bump on the handle which I feel every time I use the mug (Fiesta production flaw).
