I know this is a long shot, but I’ve seen the peas work miracles before I’m looking for an old cross stitch pattern. I stitched it probably 20 years ago. It was fairly simple, and it said merry Christmas. The font had some swirls, like the s in Christmas swirled under the word pretty far (I think). It’s 2 lines- merry is above Christmas. There were some holly leaves and berries, and some green stitching that swirled through the whole pattern. It was just words and holly. The words were in 3 shades of red, and I can’t remember for sure if the green was only one color or if it also had 3 colors, but I think it was just one color. The trend where I lived was to do it on 7 count fabric so it wound up really big, and people would usually choose a fabric with some gold threads woven in. I’m not sure if the pattern called for that or if everyone just did that. I can’t remember the publisher or artist. It wasn’t a kit. Just a leaflet. It was printed on heavy cream paper, and it was folded in half. The pattern was black and white, not color. I’m feeling nostalgic and really want to cross stitch one of these. If anyone has this and can tell me the publisher or any info, I’d appreciate it so much. I’ve googled every combination of descriptions and searched every online store, and found some similar ones but not that particular one. Of course all the stores from that area are closed now so I can’t call and see if they still have it. Thanks!

I’m guessing you’ve Googled? I just did a couple of searches and clicked on the images tab. There are tons and tons of patterns. And there are so many adorable counted cross stitch images...makes me wish my old eyes could handle stitching again. A renewed hobby is the last thing I need!

I’ve googled my fingers to the bone There are some nice ones out there but I really have my heart set on this one. It’s probably a lost cause.

Thanks PatterThose are the closest ones I could find too. I think this is the first time Pinterest has let me down. It must be a more obscure pattern than I realized.

I don’t believe it was leisure arts. It was an individual leaflet pattern that came in a plastic bag. I can’t remember Leisure Arts ever being printed or packaged like that. Thank you so much for offering to check though.

123stitch.com has a message board. www.123stitch.com/cgi-bin/BBS/bbs_forum.cgi There are many long time stitchers who love a good hunt for a pattern. A post with "can you help me find this pattern?" might get you the name and company.

I'd post to 123stitch as well. You never know what someone may have in their stash

scrapaddie that’s one of the closest I’ve seen. It’s very similar but it had more holly bunches. I realize how picky I’m being Thanks for the tip about the other message board. Sometimes I forget there are boards besides 2peas.

There is a cross stitch group on Facebook called Stitch Maynia. It has over 10,000 members. They would be a great group to ask. It's a really fun page with lots of stitch-a-longs and great advice.
