I don't know about you but we go through so much ink at our house! We had an Espon and despite good reviews I ended up going to the copy shop to get things printed that I wanted to look good. I have been following some blogs of people who work in Illustrator and InDesign and print a lot. I found a good printer and I just found out about this awesome deal and wanted to share it in case any of you are looking. HP offers Instant Ink where the ink is delivered to your door. Plans start at only $2.99 (50 pages), I ordered the $9.99/month plan where you can print 300 full color/best resolution copies a month. No more draft copies or black and white for me. The 100 copies a month plan is only $4.99/month in case you don't need that many. Shipping and recycling are included, pages can rollover and right now they are offering the first three months free! for you to try it out. My husband thinks I'm a little crazy about getting so excited about it but I love that I can print so much (full color!)) and still save from how much we were spending in ink from last year. Anyway, just thought I would share Link to 3 free monthsI would love to hear if you have tried this and what you think of it. In full disclosure if you do click on my link I do get three months as well as you but I really am excited about this service. try.hpinstantink.com/jPlnD

I'm getting this now, too. My mom kept telling me she was getting ink from HP for $3 a month, and I didn't believe her. I really thought it was some kind of scam. But it works! I can't believe how much I've spent on ink over the years. Till now. grrrrrr

We have used it for almost a year and love it. It is nice to never worry about finding the right ink cartridges at the store.

Well shucks, our HP printer is a Deskjet 3050 and not on the list. Probably a lower price printer than they want to do this for.

I'm glad you guys have had good experiences. I don't know why it excites me so much. The only thing I have asked for for Christmas is some of those binder spiral coils and binder covers. I really don't know what I'm planning on making but I'm excited to make some things up in Illustrator and actually be able to print them and look nice. We spent like $200 last year on ink and didn't print near as much and it was mostly black and white. That is why I think this is so cool--I can print in color on best print photo quality settings.
georgiapea my printer is only the HP envy 7640 it was only $80. Sorry yours wasn't on the list.

I love this too. Been using it for almost a year now and would never go back. It takes all the worry out of printing. They send the next cartridge as soon as you install one.

I'll second this! I only signed up this year because I wasn't convinced it was a saving, but it truly is. I do quite a lot of print and cut projects with Silhouette Studio and still haven't reached my 50 pages per month limit. It certainly takes the worry out of doing test prints too, or if I make a mistake.

I need ink and have been putting it off because I don't print very many pages. This plan seems to make sense. What I don't understand is the free plan. 15 pages is probably enough pages monthly for me. So, do you buy the cartridges first? Because that wouldn't be free. However, they aren't going to provide 15 free pages monthly forever without some payment. I read the info but it is still not clear to me. Can someone enlighten me? Thank you!
