I have been shopping at Smith's for almost five years now, when I left the Hy-Vee shopping area. And I am more and more impressed with them every time I go.
It isn't one special thing. But I am greeted by almost every employee I encounter. They are always friendly and helpful. Their produce is about the best hands down. I never have to wait more than a minute or two for a checker. They always offer to help me out to my car whether it is one bag or twenty.
And I find this is consistent with every location I have been to. So glad they are building within a mile of my home.
Have you had a pleasant shopping experience recently? Do share!

My Harris Teeter (regional chain) used to be like that, and it's still my preferred place to grocery shop, but the friendliness level has really changed since I first started shopping there eight years ago. Don't know what happened!

Don't know what happened! Possibly a management change? Attitude can come from the top down. I have some grocery stores here that I go to often and the regional manager in charge of them died last year and the whole attitude of the stores is different. It's sad.

My local Publix is like this. Their slogan is "where shopping is a pleasure" and I find that to be true 99% of the time.

Love my Kroger.
Was there the other day and they had some new apples. They were in a test tube type thing. Dd and I were looking at them and the produce manager gave us each one to try from a cooler in the back. Very good service.
I love the fuel perks as well.

We have Fry's/Kroger here. Love the fuel points too as well and that we can use them Smiths, Krogers etc when we travel out of town. We love our self checkout. We know most of the assistants that are there as it's a block from our house.

I love my local Smith's! It is huge, has the best meat and produce in my town, clothes, a deli counter where I can find meats can't find elsewhere in town, and lots of self-checkouts since I am weird and only like to use those these days.

I love the Real Canadian Superstore. They sell the Joe Fresh clothing and the produce is great.

My local Harris Teeter is great. They a friendly, quick, and open new lanes if somebody is waiting.
