Impossible to shop for!!! Anyone else have a relatively “nerdy” young adult and a good gift idea? He’s at work/school full time, when he’s home he’s on the computer playing d&d with his friends.
He’s working and single, so mostly if he wants it he just gets it himself. I’m at a total loss!

I have two boys that like online games and was thinking they might like the Amazon echo dots. In the past I've purchased them gaming keyboard/mouse, headphones and laptop cooling fans.

Do you know the specific game(s) he likes? Zazzle has some fun t-shirts. My DS is younger than yours, but he likes gaming t-shirts and is getting a bunch for Christmas. Do you think he would like the #WeRateDogs book? Amazon link It's basically an internet meme in book form. DS is getting it as a stocking stuffer. Think Geek has lots of gamer stuff. My husband loves his Bag of Holding. I feel your pain. I would love it if someone in my house was into, say, fishing, or something concrete, but I'm surrounded by gamers, too. Good luck with your search!

Your son is 20?!?! No way. Unless I'm remembering the wrong son, but I can still picture his younger dance photos!

Does he live at home with you or in his own apt? I ask because my oldest has his own place and there are always lots of kitchen and for the house type items he can use.

It seems impossible. Holy cats they are all grown up. And yet I would still recognize them as the three cuties you used to have that picture of in your Sig line. My ds shares a birthday with yours.

How about some unique dice? Or a bag for dice? (Should the plural be dies? Because I feel like it is, but it just sounds wrong)

Your DS sounds like mine! Single, 20, into D&D...
Do a search on Etsy for a dice roller. My kids got a friend this, as he's usually the DM. I did get both of my kids new sets of fancy dies on Amazon. DD got elven dies and DS got dwarven dies. I got DS a tee on Amazon about growing beards, that's what I do, a new wire cutter (he's an electrical engineering major), a neck gator, a set of Tesla patent engineering prints (for his some-day, mythical apartment!), an engineering computation pad, and a Stephen King book. He's going abroad for JTerm, so that's his big gift for the year. The rest is mostly just stuff to open.
I almost forgot. He’s getting a second monitor for his birthday—I ordered it last week, but will keep it until February. He also wanted an external hard drive. We will see how much his JTerm is before deciding if he will get that! Both were under $100 with good sales.

My 17 yr old is into D & D too. I'm getting him a Leatherman tool, bathing suit (plain black for work), Contigo coffee cup, soda stream refills, novelty socks and some cash.
