Hello everyone.
Welcome to No/Lo. I decided to create weekly challenges to motivate & inspire myself & others to stop shopping (or shop mindfully) and start crafting. You do not have to post a project to participate in No/Lo. You can just check-in about your week, spending or otherwise & know that someone is listening. You can confess your shopping “sins” if you like Yes, for sure, you can post your projects here! NO/LO Dec 1, 2017 CHECK-IN: No spending at all. MY PROJECT CHALLENGES THIS WEEK: “This is Me Now” page & December Daily. HAPPY DECEMBER everyone! Your PROJECT CHALLENGE THIS WEEK: Take 5 Make 5. Everything to do with the number 5. Use 5 of everything, embellishments, patterned paper, cardstock, color, etc. Make 5 of something. Make 5 LOs, 5 cards, 5 embellishments, whatever you want to do, do it 5 times.

My first ever die cutting machine and a few dies should be arriving any day now, so I'm determined to play with them and see what they can do without immediately jumping back online to buy more. That's my first challenge for this week. I didn't go overboard on Black Friday, but my other challenge will be finding a space to keep the Big Shot. My space is a mess of unfinished projects right now. Challenge #2.
My other big one is to get started on the Christmas journal I bought. I wanted AE's fancy DD one, but just couldn't stomach the price, however pretty the book. So I found an older version of the same kind of thing on amazon for $12. But of course my brain keeps telling me it's not as nice as the one I really wanted. So I need to push through that and make it work! Once I get started on making it my own I know I will love it.
Oh, and I'm sick, and my calendar is full of Christmas festivities. I'm getting better, but I've had to skip a couple I wanted to go to (and couldn't skip one I really didn't want to go to! ugh). So I also need to give myself some space to get better, and make use of my quarantine time to do some crafting.

joblackford I think you will really like your Big Shot. I have tried different machines & they are not the same. The simplicity of just grabbing a metal die & cutting is very satisfying. Don't get me wrong, I love my Cameo, but sometimes... For my dies, I've been trying different things. I think I have found a solution I like, the Iris card box.

No spending for me this week. The first of my Aliexpress orders arrived and I pulled out a kit for my DD yesterday so my focus is now on using. joblackford I hope you're feeling better soon.
