What are you getting for those moms and mother-in-laws of yours? I usually have ideas, but I'm stumped this year. I like to get them useful things. Seems like I've gone the clothing route the last couple of years, so I thought I should mix it up.
My MIL crochets and sews a lot. Are there any great gadgets for that?

I buy consumable gifts, gift certificates for mani/pedi, theatre tickets and gift cards to either a hobby/sewing store or their favourite restaurant.

I ordered my Mom Pete Souza'a new book, and found a really cute tea towel at a local shop for her.
I'm also getting my parents a large gift certificate for Postmates.
Maybe not great suggestions but that's what I've got to offer!

My mom is easy, she likes art stuff, books and asked me if I was selling my shop vac, so that's what she's getting, plus a sarcastic dish towel and anything random I see that reminds me of her.
My MIL does two things: goes to work, and watches TV. She also refuses to tell anyone what she wants... She is getting a neck pillow, a framed photo of the kids and a gift basket we put together to share with FIL. The only gifts I've ever given her that was taken out of the box (besides photos) was a coffee maker.

I got my mom and dad the Members Mark sheets from Sam's that have the stretchy fabric all around the edges of the fitted sheet. Mom has been complaining about how hard is to put them on without busting a knuckle.
We got them Alexa Dot last year, so this year, we got them a compatible plug that only requires wifi and not a hub. Also snack sort of things. Dad loves almond bark and mom likes gourmet popcorn to name a few.
In the past, we also have given them Roku, which my mom says is the best thing we ever bought them.
ETA - a cute apron, wooden spoon, spatula or mixing bowl and a colored KitchenAid handmixer. Also, I received the magnetic measuring spoons last year and love them. If they like baking or making candy - a theme basket.
My mom enjoys the colored pencils and adult coloring books.

So far I have gotten my MIL, cute, tropical themed post-it notes, a dried bean soup mixture that she can use to make soup, cute socks and some note cards.

I try to take my mom somewhere. Like a play or concert. Want to feel young? Take her to an Oak Ridge Boys concert! I beat everyone at intermission to the bathrooms.

My Mom is retired and gets Social Security only, so her funds are limited. She doesn't have much extra for eating out or take out, so I give her gift cards to the places she likes, and usually one to the grocery store.

My Mum is getting an Apple photo album I've made for her, and a lovely little black velvet handmade bag that I saw in a local craft shop. My MIL is getting her favourite perfume that she asked for and some new gardening gloves. I will probably make some sweet treats for everyone too...not sure what yet though!

My mom loves the Pioneer Woman, so i usually get her PW cookware, pottery or cookbooks from her line. She also likes vintage Christmas & so far I've gotten her a big santa cookie cutter in a box with the coolest 50's graphics and a blow-mold Santa cookie jar that i know she will like. I'm a bit stumped still.
MIL likes scents & candles for her home, so dh is getting her started on aromatherapy with her first diffuser and oils. We also got her some Yankee candles and Bath & Body Works in her favorite scent. She likes useful things & is pretty easy to please.

Bless it!

I make calendars every year with pictures of the kids. For my mom this year so far I've ordered a cowl neck tunic and pair of yoga type pants she wanted, and a monogrammed lands' end tote bag, that has a pretty blue snowflake design. It also matches the tunic.
