I am so ready to kick 2017 to the curb. What are you looking forward to in the new year?
I would like to read more and be in the moment more. I would also like to start a recipe blog so I can have all my favorites in one place. (Something I have wanted to do for years but have never gotten around to.
What would you like to do in the new year?

Hopefully, get some peace. I have major family issues going on right now and I'm exhausted by it. I have a list of crochet/knitting projects I'd like to do in this peaceful utopia!!

Also I should maybe learn to knit properly before I do those projects

I need to get back to exercise. I've become very sedentary and that has to stop.
I also want to return to meditation. Lots of unavoidable stress lately, and I know meditation will help.

I'm thinking about trying an anti-inflammatory diet. My resolution would probably be to do this for a short period of time to see if it makes a difference. I'd like to reduce the amount of medicine I'm taking.

My One Little Word for 2018 is focus. Too many things, and too much going on makes me stressed. I'd like to focus on the things that really make me happy although I'm having problems keeping the list focused and not adding all the shiny fun things...
Main focal points: scrapbooking more consistently finishing the first draft of the novel I started in 2014 reading (slacked off recently and did not meet my 2017 goal) I would also like to knit myself a hat, with cables
Baking more often and continuing to teach myself to play the piano are also trying to make it onto the list, as is finally decluttering my mess of a house... which is frustrating and makes me not want to do all the other things.
We'll see how it goes...

I need to eat more protein ... poultry and meat is turning me off right now so I'm trying to eat fish ... can't do that everyday though I do eat some eggs, quinoa and peanut butter but there is no way I'm getting my daily needs I've had a gastric bypass so some foods do just not agree with me but I really need protein for my health ... I plan to work out my issues and look at lots of protein options in 2018

declutter. I'm going to start with one drawer at a time. When I try to do it room by room it becomes overwhelming, but I think I can do a drawer/shelf/etc a day.

2017 was a year of injuries for me to first and foremost stay injury free. With that being said I have some running/race goals set but it all depends on how my body holds up.
Other that than...get my freaking garage cleaned and organized! If I can get my husband to accomplish that I will consider 2018 a successful year.

I want to quit smoking. I'm turning 43 in July and that is the age my dad quit. I've had it built up in my mind that I should quit by then.
I also want to finish crocheting two blankets.

I make new hobby goals each year.
Last year I was learning and training my dog for rally (obedience) and going for his first rally title. We ended up getting two rally titles last year. 2018 was supposed to be learning to compete in traditional obedience but we learned last month that I need to switch that. Now I need to learn how to show him conformation (think Westminster). So I will be doing that instead or first. Then if I learn and/or master conformation, I will add obedience back in.
Other goals are more camping and vacation/downtime with dh.
I forgot, I will also carry my goals to get healthier into 2018 and make it a lifestyle change. I joined the crossfit gym last month and have been going 3 times a week. I love it and it has helped me want to make other healthier choices. I'm down a full size and look forward to being down another size early next year if not sooner.
