Thought I would help add to the valuable info that msliz is gathering about the locations of local scrapbook stores. I am getting this list from two Canadian scrapbooking magazines: The Creative Scrapbooker and Scrapbook & Cards Today. I have not ordered from or visited all of these stores, but will let you know which ones I HAVE dealt with.
This will be a long process, but I will start with BC, then move on to include the prairie provinces.
Please feel free to add any that I have missed, &/or to comment on any that I have included. I will edit this OP to reflect your comments.
British Columbia:
Courtenay: Scrapbook Central
Duncan: Treasured Memories Canada (I have ordered on line from here. They actually special ordered an item for me. Great service! Sadly, this store has now CLOSED
Kelowna: Ever After Scrapbooking & Papercrafts. (I can't get the link to stick here, but justjac has the link and more info below)
Kelowna: Memories and More
Langley: I stopped at two different sb stores while in Langley in April. Within a block of each other, and each with different supplies and vibe, but both had wonderful, helpful, friendly staff. Found items at each that I had not seen elsewhere:
Precious Memories
Clipper Street Scrapbook Company
Maple Ridge: A Paper Notion
Mission: Cherry Lane Scrapbook
Prince George: P. G. Scrapbook Zone
Surrey: Country Lane Crafts
Victoria: Scrapbook Essentials. Scrapbook Essentials BC is in Victoria, BC and they have by appointment shopping as well as shopping on certain days based on the website. She is on Grange St. She has a lot of very cool stuff. Delta Dawn says it’s an excellent paper crafting store between sb paper, dies, glue, stamps, ink, paint or whatever else. Her prices are good too.
And On Line, based in BC:
Scrap N' Stamp
Scrapbook Warehouse Vancouver
ALBERTA
Calgary: Paper Pastimes ( Recommended by paperaddict asvery good selection of stamps, dies and stuff for multimedia)
Calgary: Scrapbookin' Adventures
Calgary: Serendipity Store
Calgary: The Scrap Yard
Calgary, www.paperandinkboutique.com 5330 72 Avenue Southeast, #171 (587)620-6305 and they will be having their grand opening this coming Saturday.
Drayton Valley: Scrapbooking Fairies
Edmonton: Scrap Addicts (Their store has the more artsy paper lines like Fab Scraps and some European lines similar to this. Also lots of art supplies and art journals. I love that each of the Edmonton area stores has a different feel to it. Scrap Addicts has been hosting some big names in the scrap world for classes. In October 2018 they plan to hold all day classes with Dyan Reavely and Dina Wakely. A couple of years ago, justjac and I attended a Dylusions series of classes & got to meet Dyan up close and personal in the shop the evening before)
**NOTE: this store has moved to Sherwood Park. Edmonton: Scrap & Bean (I love to visit this store when in the Edmonton area. They stock tons of stamps and mixed media supplies, but also some of the older much loved lines. They serve the rural area by stocking lots of farm and western papers and stickers and chipboard cutouts. Lots of room in the store to browse, and a great coffee bar if you want to stop and visit for awhile)
Edmonton area (St Albert): Scrapbooking Fanatics Moved to BC. Still an on line presence. Not sure if she still has an in person store.(I get their monthly kit. She mails out two at a time and always asks before shipment if I want to order anything in addition to the kit. She stocks a lot of main stream supplies, but also a number of things to create your own mini albums and journals. Her kits always contain materials with a feminine flair--flowers, butterflies, swirls, lacy diecuts, soft colours--which is good because I tend to buy a lot of more masculine themes on my own.
Edmonton: The Urban Scrapbooker (I have stopped in here a couple of times. Nicely laid out store, good variety of supplies and suppliers.)
Edmonton: Closed. Treasured Memories (I stop here often when going through Edmonton. Lots of brand name products--Kaisercraft, Simple Stories, Graphic 45, and Tim Holtz. They also stock lots of metal and vintage type items. Additionally, they print their own papers and tags, especially in travel and sporting themes. Their monthly kit is usually sold out after the first day) They have now gone on-line, offering a host of exclusive products as Simply Stated Design
Grande Prairie: Scrapbooks Made Simple
Leduc: Paper Art Creations
Lloydminster: New ownership. Now take on line orders as well as in person: Ladybug Scrapbook This IS my local scrapbook store. Lori stocks a good variety of name brand papers, extras and tools. She is also willing to set things aside for customers who can't shop in person. She has also special ordered some items for me, and she hosts semi annual crops. Great scrapping community!
SASKATCHEWAN:
Moose Jaw: Scrappin' with T They have launched an on line store on their Scrappin With T website and have free shipping anywhere in Canada until the end of July 2018.
Saskatoon: Creative Haven just opened in Saskatoon last week!
Warman: Prairie Chicks (This place is near Saskatoon. I have been there once with justjac . Lots of fun scrappy supplies, plus a whole quilting store.) This place had CLOSED , or at least gone out of scrappy supplies. This place is CLOSED
