I didn't make any sweets for Christmas. My neighbors do that for me. We usually get plates of different treats from three neighbors. One of the neighbors added a box of milk bones. I haven't touched those. I have also been given a fair amount of margarita mix and tequila. Add in the salt and the bloat and extra calories just ooze into me. I am not waiting until the first. I am limiting it all now.

Me too! And I'm getting up at 7 a.m. to make even more food for for a Christmas lunch at my house, lol. Diet starts Tuesday. I'm waiting until after the 1st!! No doctors appointments until JUNE--so all is well! He won't freak out by then I hope.

Me too! And I'm getting up at 7 a.m. to make even more food for for a Christmas lunch at my house, lol. Diet starts Tuesday. I'm waiting until after the 1st!! No doctors appointments until JUNE--so all is well! He won't freak out by then I hope. After the 1st for me too. Dh wants me to start up with WW again, because he has been gaining weight and he lost 15 pounds effortlessly when I was only cooking WW-friendly meals. Sweets aren’t my weakness, but the cheeseball, sausage balls, Christmas Breakfast Casserole, fresh rolls, stuffing + gravy, etc., that have been my downfall.

I'm having routine blood work tomorrow morning before my physical later this week. If it doesn't come out as chocolate syrup it will be a freakin miracle! Lol
It's kept me somewhat in check this holiday season, I really should have this done in the Spring or Summer only.

I have a restaurant size can of manderian oranges open on the counter. They have been sitting out in the snow and are ice cold.
I can't stop drinking the liquid from them. I don't drink sugary syrup drinks.
Hopefully the kids will have the contents gone soon.

I have had nothing sweet today. I mean nothing. I have Almond Roca and I will have some of that if I feel like it later. That said, I am hungry. I have managed to lose about 5-7 lbs in the last while from not eating. I ate bagels and cream cheese for breakfast/lunch and that's all I have had.
I would like to eat some sweet stuff. I really would but there is nothing I want at the moment. I have some biscotti but there is too much almond extract in it and that isn't good. We have mince tarts and I had one of them a few days ago. I guess I feel like Christmas cake and maybe will have some after dinner. I am getting hungry now. We are leaving in 45 minutes.

DH had no problem losing his Christmas weight, but it takes me months. Since I was bigger than I wanted to be before the Christmas season this year, it's going to take me "awhile" for sure. I also have a thyroid problem that doesn't help at all!!

In conjunction with menopause, dealing with weight and eating is a whole other animal than what I dealt with for the first 50 years of my life.

I was doing well until today. Scalloped potatoes and chocolate desserts have been what is sustaining me today. Oh yeah, that and wine. Tomorrow is another day I suppose!

Carbs are what's fattening my ass right now. I do pretty well to limit/avoid them most of the other normal days of the year. Holiday time, however, they are everywhere and my willpower disappears in a POOF! like that bug on the Raid commercials.
Stretchy pants are all I wear in December. *sigh*
