I have GOT to stop eating...

we had appetizers tonight and then at 10 the kids decided they wanted spaghetti. I've been eating cookies since.

I've gained so much weight this month I'm goi ng to have to pull out the stretch pants.

I thought this was going to be a fill in the blank.

I was going to say...I have GOT to stop eating these dang peppermint Oreos my sister gave me.

I normally don't care for Oreos. But I love peppermint hot chocolate so she gave me these peppermint Oreos thinking I might like them.

The problem? I DO like them,waaaay too much. I've eaten approximately enough for Santa to leave cookies at every house he stops at tonight. :-P lol

We had the 12 dishes of Ukrainian Christmas tonight. I love it but its all carbs. I joked I'm going to have to be putting on my fat pants tomorrow. But I wasn't joking. I really am. I need to get to the gym asap when I get back home, eat veggies tomorrow and less crap. I haven't drank pop in months. I had 2 yesterday. Why??? Because it is in my face, all around and easy. Same as the cookies, the desserts, the carb-y leftovers.

I hear ya! I feel like all I've done this week is eat this, eat that. Im stuffed.

Dark chocolate Almond Roca. It is as amazing as it sounds. There is an Almond Roca for everyone. I have 2 packages for myself just because. They also make mint and regular. I think everyone is covered. I might need to leave some out for Santa tonight.

I have a sinus infection and have no appetite. However that does not stop me from eating the cookies we are making. I do wish I could smell them as they come out of the oven though.

I actually haven't eaten all that much. I didn't bake, so besides eating a few store bought cookies I've done okay.

This morning is a different story. We ate dinner earlier yesterday and now I'm hungry. I've been up since 4:30 a.m., it's now 6 a.m., and I'm debating on making a plate of dinner leftovers since we won't be eating breakfast for several more hours!

Oh, what to do?!?

Who has time to eat??? And why the HELL am I up so early? I'm tired and afraid to make a cup of coffee. My Keurig is a little loud and my grandson will hear it and get up. I don't think I've ever seen my guy so tired as last night. Poor kids had to get up at 4 am yesterday to catch their flight here.

I will confess to eating a whole box of dark chocolate creams over the last 2 weeks. And I didn't share! They are from a fabulous little candy shop on the north shore of Lake Superior. They only ship for a month between Thanksgiving and New Years.

I didn't do a lot of baking this year. Now my MIL made enough food to feed an army, but we only went to her house last night for dinner then came home to open presents with the kids. Today we are hosting a brunch and then a prime rib dinner. I like having control over the menu LOL. Early on DH and I decided this wasn't going to be the year of the holiday weight gain.

I baked very little and yet have "found" yummy things to eat!

My tail end couldn't get to the health club before the holiday consistently if a limo would pick me up and drop me off there.......ugh, I'm paying the price. I too figure 2018......will be my consistency.

Edited to add.....wait! I did exercise yesterday and a little this morning.....I shoveled!

Oh yes. ugh. 

Seriously...I saw a video this morning that my church posted on their FB page. It showed the beginning of worship with me reading. I thought "really? " omg. 

I need to seriously buckle down after the holidays and get myself back to the gym.

I have cookies that have a layer of chocolate on them, almost like a little chocolate bar. I hid those inside my 6-quart Instant Pot figuring that no one would look there. So last night my son was looking at my 3-quart Mini so I was telling him how the 3-quart inner pot fits perfectly inside the 6-quart if I want to do pot-in-pot cooking. He says "oh cool" and took off the lid of the 6-quart to try it! ack. Fortunately I had the cookies wrapped in a plastic grocery store back so it wasn't immediately obvious what they were. I grabbed them at the same time as I put the Mini inner pot in the 6-quart, hoping to distract him. Then when he went away I found a new hiding place. hahaha (ds has enough treats around, he is not being deprived.   )

I have eaten so many cookies it's not even funny. I have put on 35 pounds this year. 35 pounds! I bought all new pants recently. I have decided that I'm going to try to lose weight in the new year. For now, keep your hands off my cookies!
