I am watching a series on Netflix called "Dark". It's in German (if you don't mind subtitles) and starts of with a child that goes missing. I liked it so much I binge watched and am on the last episode (10) and just started it last night. I'm on Season 2 of "Broadchurch" but it's good to hear that Season 3 is better because I was wondering whether to continue. If you have Amazon you can watch Jane Austen's PBS versions of "Emma" and "Pride and Prejudice". It says you have to pay but once you click on it you really don't if you have Prime. I loved Dark, it was so weird! It didn't have subtitles though, it was dubbed.

Have you watched Good Behavior? Godless? Mudbound? All excellent IMO. If you want to have a nap this chilly afternoon, I love the Planet Earth series (1 and 2). They are great to watch, but also David Attenborough's voice is the most soothing in the world. He just lulls me right to sleep. Planet Earth is a great idea for a nap show!! We use Ancient Aliens to lull us to sleep. Happens EVERY time we try to watch that show!

Have you watched Stranger Things? We might be the last people on the planet to start it, but we watched the first 7 episodes over the break and we’re hooked!

I'm not sure if this is an option for you but I told DH to watch this show while he was out of town and told him it was subtitled. He started playing it and it was dubbed. Turns out there was a setting on his laptop version of Netflix that was set wrong, so he changed that and was able to watch the subtitled version. IDK if you even care about that but I just thought I'd mention it for anyone else who prefers one or the other.

I would have preferred subtitles as the dubbing was quite bad.

I have been binge-watching too, mostly because of this blasted weather. I watched La Mante and liked it; and I watched Cranford-finally. It was charming.

I would have preferred subtitles as the dubbing was quite bad. I watched it on my TV and set it for subtitles. I much prefer that too, and for this one especially because I spoke German until I was 5 when we moved here to the USA and I forgot it when I learned English. After my May trip to Poland and Germany I picked it up again after spending 2 weeks in Germany (it comes back if I am surrounded by it for some time) but lost most of it again after being back home. Watching this show brought some of it back again-I was surprised how much I remembered listening to them speak. Before my trip I'd watch German shows and only understand a word here or there. I'm going to look for more German shows. Of the show itself I finished it last night and really liked it. Hope so much they do a Season 2.

The Last Post was good also. Jenny from Call the Midwife is on it. She plays a totally different character.
