Can anyone tell me what happened to K & Company? It was apparently sold to Simplicity but the Simplicity website doesn't have anything relating to scrapbooking much less K & Company products. I'm wondering where all their designers have gone.
Thanks!

Hmm. That is really odd, because I remember even a few months ago the Simplicity site did have a section of K&Co products. I know JoAnn and scrapbook.com had a variety of new(ish) albums from them awhile back. I wonder if they tried to make a comeback and it just didn't happen.
I've always had a soft spot for K&Co...they were my first foray into "name brand" scrapbook products. It seemed like they reached a short-lived peak with the release of the Smash Book line and then it was downhill. They were never really at the forefront of most of the popular design trends so I guess I'm not too surprised. But I did like them!

I bought some new Smash books for gifts only last year. I did like some of their products, but haven't seen much around recently. Maybe that's why!

Some asked that same question a couple of years ago, and apparently EK Success owns the line, but they directed that person to Amazon. here: K & Co

I remember buying a K & Co. album with paper and stickers from QVC. It was one of my first ‘major’ purchases. And I did get a Smshbook when they were popular. Always sorry to see a scrapbook company close.

I loved K and Company, and they were my favorite brand back in the day. Brenda Walton was my absolute favorite designer back then, and I still love her products. Now she designs for Sizzix, I think. Sometimes I'm still tempted to buy a K and Company paper pad when I see them in the big box stores. I might just cave the next time.

I used to love them, and collected their stuff, but then never really used them in my scrapbooks when I realized they weren't actually my style. Thanks for the post! I'm going to dig out that stuff and post it right now.

When K&Co collaborated with the first Basic Grey lines in Sublime and Motifica and created the first embossed stickers --- O. M. G. .... my mind was blown and I was ruined for "ordinary" paper ever after. I don't like every bit of K&Co -- but they did have some incredible releases and I really love most of the "less floral" stuff.
Several of my friends were members of their design team -- at the local CK or other scrap conventions, they walked around in their K&Co matching shirts -- it was very high school cliquey! K&Co, as a local manufacturer, was always very generous to the scrap events I used to organize.
