Hi! I am looking to get your feedback on which watercolor brush markers you like the best. The ones I am looking at are:
1. Zig Clean Color Brush 2. Sakura Koi Watercolor Brush 3. Arteza Real Brush Pens
I will be using these primarily to color stamped images, and I need brushes that don't "splooch" out the color. I have the MErmaid Markers and find that they splootch out blobs of color which I don't like.
I need the tip to be very fine, as I would be coloring in very fine images. I need them to blend nicely too.
Do any of you have experience with any of these? I know Arteza have been getting a lot of attention lately, and the price point is right.
Thanks for any advice you can offer (and if you have cards that you've used any of these on, i'd love a link!!
UPDATE BELOW.

I like the Zig clean color brushes. They blend nicely. The Sakura watercolor brushes are great if you want to use watercolors that come in a pan. They have some that are very fine tipped for those small spaces. I've seen people use the Zigs along with a watercolor brush. Jennifer McGuire has a great video comparing the different brushes.

I have the Zigs and I really like them. I have not tried the other brands listed. One thing that appealed to me with the Zigs is that you can buy them individually.

I have the zig clean color as well. I find I can control the flow really well with them.

I have almost an entire set of the Zig Clean Colour markers. I LOVE them. I think I started with a set of 48. I love that you can purchase them individually. (That's how I have managed to accumulate so many.) I'm definitely no watercolouring expert, but I get incredible results with these. Jennifer McGuire recently compared these to the Arteza Real Brush Pens, which are apparently very similar but have a lower price point.

I love the Zigs! No real complaints except that some of the neutrals are a little off. But they blend beautifully and are easy to control. Just got the Artezas and the brushes are really nice. They are super bright but they blend well and no flow issues yet. They only real complaint is that they don't name their colors! Bugs me, but I'm weird that way!

I got Zigs for christmas and I love them. They blend so nicely. I agree about the mermaid markers. So much ink comes out with little control.

If i buy the 12 set of zigs, and like them, can i buy the 36 And not het dupes? Meaning, is the 12 and the 36 the same as the 48?

I have the zig clean color. I don't love the brush tip ones. I can't get them to blend great or work well with water. I'm sure it's user error. I do really enjoy the duo tip ones for journaling especially in my bible as they don't bleed.

Not a fan of the Zigs. I find that they don't blend easily, and they dry out quickly.

Ok. Bought the 36 pen set. Can't wait to try them!! I will give a little review when i have a moment. thank you for all your feedback! It took me a bit of practice but I love mine. I bought the 60 set and filled in the gaps to expand to the full set of 80. I still find myself missing certain colors every now and then but I doesn’t stop my love for this product!

Love Zigs! They take a little practice, just like other markers or pencils, because its a real brush tip instead of a nib. I've found that they work best on Bristol Smooth paper, especially if you're going to use water. Strathmore is usually reasonably priced. Agree about Jennifer McGuire videos for basics. Nicole Spohr uses them fairly often too. Have fun!

okay just an update--got these on friday and have been playing a bit this weekend. I really like them a lot. The paper DOES matter--i tried on Bristol Smooth, tim holtz distress watercolor paper, and neenah 120 and so far i like th Tim Holtz paper the best. I am still working on my skills, but will post some images later today for anyone who still hasn't jumpd on this bandwagon.

mamakoala I think you will love the Zigs! I have had them for quite awhile (3 years), use them a lot and they have not dried or anything. I started with a 36 set, and then bought some individually. I don't have all of them. I got the Arteza 48 set for Christmas, and they are pretty much the same thing, except I feel that even though the cap colors are different, there seems to be duplicate colors in the set, especially with some of the blue/greens and pinks. The Arteza markers are NOT given any color names so its hard to tell them apart, other than what the cap color is.

okay, so here is attempt number one and two. The bunny is too pink on the body...i may try and fix that. I LOVE using them but definitely require a bit of practice.
