After many years, I finally found a project life size I love--the 9x12. Unfortunely SC is the one that makes that size and the page protectors are $1 each! I use about 100 for a year and I have multiple years to catch up on.
I have been converting BH page protectors, but fixing the non-standard holes is so time consuming. The process is sucking the fun from my limiting scrapping time.
Should I just do a huge SC purchase?😫 Or switch to the 12x12 size which I find too big? 9x12 users, which protectors do you use?

If you love the size and want page protectors that require no altering - you’ll have to drop the money at SC.

I think you're going to have to suck it up and get them at SC. But if you can wait, watch for a % off sale and get them then.

Keep creating a buy when there is a sale. Or buy 25 now and wait for a sale and stock up when there is. Companies generally have more than one sale a year.

You can cut down a 12x12 album and seal the edge. That way you can use regular pp, just cut them down. A few years ago I saw someone who did this, before SC started selling that size. Making your own would be cheaper and you won’t be relying on a single unreliable source. ETA: apparently it was Marcy Penner per this blog post. www.taraleighgray.com/2015/06/diy-9x12-project-life-album.html?m=1

Why can't you use a 12x12 album and just cut off the page protectors to be 9x12? Much less expensive and easier than punching all those holes.

I'm thinking the answer may be to do something about holes. I may also try to replace the ring part of the binder

I'm not familiar with the SC 9x12 hole situation, so sorry if this is out of line. But a printing shop like FedEx/Kinkos should be able to re-punch holes in the correct spot for you.

If you just cut down a 12x12 album you won’t have issues with the holes. They will still be the standard 3 hole configuration.

I like 9x12 (12x12 is too big to fill and store) and just stock up at SC when they have a sale. I was really hoping someone else would come out with a 9x12 album but no luck so far!

If you cut down 12x12 page protectors, they also have a 3 hole configuration. This way you don't have to try and find albums and page protectors from Studio Calico. It doesn't look like any other company is interested in making the 9x12 size and I wouldn't want to be limited to what I can get from Studio Calico since they don't seem to be very reliable on stocking that product.

Don't wait around for a sale, they exclude the page protectors! I'm using a lot of altered sizes from WRMK and Becky Higgins in my album. I have some off brand 9x12 pocket pages that I got at Tuesday Morning. I don't mind sitting down and spending a half an hour punching tons of pages so they are ready to go when I need them.

I just have to cut down cards or photos a bit. I LOVE 8 1/2 x 11. Here is my first 2018 week's 8 1/2 x 11 spread:

I use 9x12 and it’s expensive to ship the pockets over here so I trim down my old PL design A, but rather than trim the right side and reseal, I trim off the left, seal, then punch my four holes. This way I don’t end up with extra holes. It’s time consuming but I make them in batches.
