I have been using post bound albums with the converter strap thingy because I hate the posts... but I'm finding that they aren't holding up... I don't really like 3-ring but it's looking like that might be my only option for durability. Anybody have any ideas??

Use WRMK 3 ring albums and I really like them.

Another WRMK 3-ring user here, but honestly if I were starting from scratch I might go with Doodlebug or Simple Stories 3-ring albums. WRMK is a little more challenging to find since their American Crafts acquisition.

I switched from those converter strap hinge albums to post bound a few years ago and I am so glad I did. I've been using the Recollections ones from Michaels since they are the only ones I can find locally, and I've had no issues at all with them.

3-ring here...I only use postbound for small (8x8) albums and while I tried the strap conversions...I found them a bit unwieldy and hard to find. No brand reccommendations as I'm an 8.x5x11 scrapper

I use post albums, but I quit adding extenders. I just use the pages that come with.

3 ring wrmk here, too. Not as stylish or attractive as post bound but more durable and practical.

My books are pretty full... like 40-60 pages. I have been looking today and I guess I'll be switching back to posts, at least for the books that I already have done.
I might get a 3 ring and see if I like it... I'm not really hopeful though. LOL

I like D ring albums b/c I can scrap in any order and then put the pages into the book in order. I can also move pages around if I need to.
My favorite albums are WRMK and Pioneer. If you can get the Pioneer with 2 1/2" rings, they hold a lot of pages. My pages are pretty "fat", and I can get 60 pages into one of those babies, no problem! They are also pretty sturdy. I tend to take my scrapbooks to visit my dgk's and these hold up pretty good to travel and little readers.

I switched from post bound to binders several years ago. I love that I can move pages around if need be. Mine are WRMK. I got them on Amazon but I don’t know if they still carry them. They do carry a lot of the AC brands.

WRMK. I have about 40 of them and they all have held up nicely.

I don't have any choice as Michaels is the only place to get them here (Unless I want to spend $50+/album). So mine are mostly AC and Project Life and Recollections. The Recollections leather and faux-leather ones are fine...at least, I can't see anything wrong with them! Honestly, I have a real leather WRMK album from years ago, and the rings fell out, and their CS wouldn't help me!!! That was well before the AC takeover. I'd be shy of them just for that reason, but I'm sure most of their albums don't fall apart

I use post bound with the long extenders not the little ones that come with extra pages. I also use a washer between the head of the post and the cover which keeps the post from pulling through. My books are usually 50 pages or so.

Creative Memories sells strap/hinge bound cover sets and top loading page protectors. So you can move the pages around in the protectors like a 3 ring/post bound.

I ended up just re-converting them back to posts. They are much sturdier and I can still do my 2 page spreads like I like.
