I am using my silhouette machine, trying to put a shape inside a shape (meaning, an exact copy of the shape, inside the original shape but smaller).
For the life of me I cannot think of what this is called. Help.

mom I just discovered the offset tool yesterday. Somehow I couldn't find it when I looked for the "shadow" or "outline" tool ! I love the way the "offset" hugs the edge of the title or shape., rather than being forced to matting on a square or rectangle. And that it automatically groups even non welded letters when it makes the "offset". Learning something new every day!

So it isn't called the bullseye tool? Hmm. All I could think of was 'nest' and that does something completely different than offset! SaveSave
