I’ve had mine for several years. It’s box stitched, so supposedly the feathers can’t move around. Well, some squares, especially the ones near the top by our pillows, seem to be empty. Or at least very flat. Is it possible the the feathers in those squares disintegrated from the pressure of our hands as we pull up the covers or whatever? I tend to pull it up and crunch it under my chin while I sleep. That probably doesn’t help.
Or did the feathers somehow migrate to the other squares even though the squares are stitched? I know I haven’t seen all these feathers actually come out of the comforter.
I did see one video where the guy said the feathers can disintegrate from the pressure of your shoulders as you roll over. Maybe I just need a new one.

The feathers do break down over time. You can get it refilled, or switch it around so that the bottom of the comforter is by your face.

I didn’t know you can get them refilled. That might be worth looking into.

I've had down comforters for years. No matter what I buy, how good the bafflebox is claimed to be, and how many times I shift direction of it, the feathers DO move. Always ends up being much fuller down the bottom. Its frustrating.

I randomly put mine in my dryer on low heat, with three tennis balls and that does seem to help redistribute them more evenly a bit.

I have mine remade when they get a bit flat over the years - I assume you should be able to find a place that will do that for you. They will clean the feathers, keeps what’s usable and add more fill to bring it up to the weight you want.

anniefb, what type of place would I take it to to have it remade? I guess I can search for a custom bedding place.
