I think it suits him given he is balding. I think it looks good and others have said, to which I agree, better than a combover.
My almost 12 year old thinks William is more handsome than Harry (and she normally prefers gingers). I will have to see what she thinks of his new look.

I agree with the OP, I don't care for the new look. But I'm not the one he has to please. I hope Kate likes it.

I think there is no worse look than a man who is seriously balding and trying to disguise it with a comb over. I would much rather see a man embrace it and go for a shaved head look. I'll have to disagree. A comb over is a 1000x worse than the close shave cut. I do think he looks younger, fresher and modern with this cut. Full disclosure, I shave DH's head regularly.

I read the title of this thread and thought, "A new haircut? How many options does he have? Cut what he has or shave it off. Not a lot of other styles to go with." I think it looks great!

I think he looks younger. He's going bald and is accepting it. Good for him!

I didn't think there were many options for a new haircut when I read the thread title because of him going bald. The cut doesn't bother me.

I think he looks fine. He did pretty well overall in the gene pool lottery. I'm glad to see that a little male pattern baldness isn't getting him down. He looks a lot like Edward to me.

Maybe it’s not a British thing to do? I dunno. But here in the US many men opt to shave their heads rather than have those tufts of hair on the side or in back. Some of our sexiest men have shaved heads. I think it makes him look younger. But I can see it takes some getting used to. This is what my son did.

I'm good with this this. If you start losing hair there isn't a damn thing you can do about it and you shouldn't try to hide it. Let men be men.

It would have been a drastic change for someone with a full head of hair...but that's not what William had.
I have no issue at all with bald men and I think that stigma is gradually disappearing. I much prefer a man to embrace his baldness than to do all sorts of weird (and usually painfully obvious) things in an effort to cover it up. After all it's not like he can do much about it...it's what genetics gave him and he may as well just deal with it in a sensible way.
Apart from all of that...I think it suits him, he's grown man now and has a nice strong face.

Bald is SEXY!

I hate when bald men have hairstyles that try to conceal what we all know. He looks fine.

I think the older he gets the more like Prince Phillip he looks. It is like he is a mix of Prince Phillip and his Spencer uncles.

It’s way better than a comb over or a cheesy looking wig IMO. Trying to cover up the obvious just makes a person look dorky.

Actually I think it's rather dashing! And for redheads that age it's ok. My brothers don't have much hair as they've gotten older. We all have a tint of the red I'm the one with full head of red hair. My youngest brother's is d darker as he has a different dad and genes, but still some scottish from my mom. He just shaved his over the holidays. It took me a sec to recognize him! lol! But I liked it. He said it was just easier now that he's loosing it. He's 39. Charles hair always looks out of place (I'm can't figure out how to word that lol) but I don't know if he could pull it off like his son. I really do like it! lol imsirius I thought the same thing!

Great link! I was most impressed by how much Prince Michael looks like George 5th. But I recently saw a picture of George 5th, and my first thought was “ he looks like Nicholas II. I googled, and sure enough, it was such a strong resemblance it was very well remarked on.
