I have 2 cross stitch floss organizers for anything that will fit on the cards, and a small laundry basket for the rest

If you're looking for organizing rolls of ribbon, the ones with the hole in the middle - I take a sturdy but cheap (like the packs from Target or Walmart) and cut just a bit above where it curves around the long part that you would hang pants on - anyway, I put my rolls along the long straight part until no more can fit and just use strong clear tape to hold together the cut part of the hanger... The hanger then hangs in my closet until I need ribbon, which then I just snip off what is needed with the roll still on the hanger.

Pllllleeeeeeeease? I have some on spools, but mostly just loose. I just can't find a storage solution that works for both.

I have boxes made from cereal boxes. Spools are on end so I can easily see what's there. Miscellaneous ribbon are just stuffed into the same kind of boxes. I just pull a box to see if I have something that will work. I have a small iron to smooth them so they look nice. Some of my small scraps I taped with 2X tape so I can just slap it on a project. There is no real "organization", it's just some boxes in a cupboard.

My MIL uses two systems similar to these - it's perfect for her needs.

Mine's just shoved in a box! I purged a lot a while ago and only kept favourites. When ribbon was really popular I used to keep all my loose bits in a clear plastic toiletry bag. I poked holes in the side and pulled a little end of ribbon through each hole, then when I wanted some I would just pull the length I wanted and cut.
I just ordered 2 lengths in my last craft order so maybe I'll be getting back in to ribbon again soon? I do like textures on my page!

I sorted my loose ribbon into colours, put each different colour in a ziplock bag, and store the bags in a Tupperware tub. I have another tub for the rolls of ribbon. It also has room for those cardboard strips with multiple colours on them, like theSew It ribbons.

I am really left-brained for organization. I needed something that was organized, easy to see, and space saving. I bought 12 of these large baskets at Target years ago and I have several ladder shelves that hold them in my scrapbook. My ribbon all fits in it. If I can't fit it, I pare it down.

I have mine (mostly) stored on cards like the ones on the left in 950nancy's photo. I keep them in a hinged lid CD box that I got years ago from a local storage place. I only have a few on spools (in my scrap stash, sewing is another story) so the spools are also stored in the same box.

I organize my embellishments that are not themed by color in gallon ziploc bags. Then I use smaller sized snack or sandwich bags for the ribbon. I mostly use paper, so I don't have a lot.

picture a one-gallon ziploc bag with wads of ribbon and rickrack stuffed into it... it's an adventure to get anything out! lol.
It's not all like that, but some of it is. I need to sort through it all and separate it. I don't have a lot, so what I do is this: I take the ribbon off the spool and wrap it onto long rectangular 'cards' I cut from cardstock so it's easier to store them (since they lay flat), but they're still all just kept in a zipper bag.

Most of my card making ribbon is on spools and I keep it in Martha Stewart ribbon boxes. They've been discontinued I think.

Same here but picture a plastic shoe box with loose ribbon and another with spooled ribbon. I've tried so many ways and I can't find one I like. And, you know what? I rarely use ribbon. Hmmm, maybe I should ditch it. At least all Target and $1 Store stuff.

I have mine on cards like 950nanacy and Chinagirk828 and I keep them in low plastic baskets in the drawers of my Alex unit. Easy to see and choose when you open the drawer, which unfortunately I don't do enough of!! LOL!!

Does just shoving it all into a big glass canister count as organization?! If it is more than a scrap, I will at least try and roll it up first. It makes no sense though, because I am a total type A organizational nut about pretty much everything in my life (including the rest of my supplies). Picture that episode of Friends when they discover Monica's secret closet... I am Monica 😂
