I didn't want to hijack the thread about OA, so thought I'd start one.
What products or companies to you miss?
I loved & miss My little shoebox!! I will say that some of the Echo Park stuff is close, maybe that's why I love EP. LOL

I’ve only been around long enough to miss the good days of Studio Calico. But I don’t dwell on it, they don’t deserve it!

Ki Memories and Chatterbox. I was a student in university in the 2000s and didn't have much of a budget for scrapbooking, but I was so happy to get my hands on some of their lines! ETA: I miss the Two Peas in a Bucket website. I didn't dive in too deep (I read on this website that there were problems) but I loved their gallery and some of the classes offered.

Actually I miss gossamer blue too. Just as they were beginning to bring it with their products and kit club offering they closed down.

Sassafras, Cosmo Cricket when they used to do scrapbook stuff, Basic Grey, Bam POP! even though they weren’t around all that long. I’m so glad Crate Paper is still around. AC, Crate Paper, and Pink Paislee (I guess you could say all the AC companies!) are my favorite now, so I guess I’m pretty lucky that I like all of them.

Variety...I miss the time before American Crafts owned everything. When quality was more important than simply making as much as you can for as little as you can. I miss Chickaniddy Crafts...their first couple of lines were not at all my taste, but their last 2 were awesome. I miss Gossamer Blue. I also miss enjoying older product from Scrapbook Steals when I first joined in because I wasn't 'in the know' and it was all great and affordable. Their kits every Wednesday were jam packed and gorgeous. SS is nothing like they used to be...it was like 2peas to most of you...I miss my community as well as the products.

also I miss all my LSSes ;( Meeee tooooo!
I had an Amuse bricks-and-mortar store here at one point, and I reeeeeally miss it. I picked up so many cute little stamps and other tidbits there. I know the company still exists, but the model is different, and I don't have the physical store anymore.

I mostly miss when each manufacturer had a unique identify & a stream of new companies were entering the industry & introducing new styles/products, not being swept under the American Crafts umbrella never to be recognized again! Like you, I wish October Afternoon was still around. KI Memories, Chatterbox, (original) Bazzill, & the Memories & Archivers stores are also missed.

Basic Grey. I've found some kits on e-bay but not worth $20 and then $12+ for shipping.
I did get two 6 by 6 paper pads on Etsy which I will hoard every scrap.

I miss Making Memories. I loved their rub-ons, their non-vintagey papers, many of their tools. I miss the brightness and distinctive patterns of Scenic Route. I miss Piggy Tales, even though they weren’t around very long. I miss the K&Co 12x12 paper pads, I had so many of them!

I miss so many of the companies that have closed down. I know I'll forget to mention many of them, but definitely Daisy D's, Making Memories, Basic Grey, Little Yellow Bicycle, Lily Bee, SEI, Your Pictured Memories, Chatterbox and Hambly. I miss Teresa Collins & hope she releases some new collections. If I was home, I could flip through some of my paper holders and find some other "oldies but goodies". In addition to papers, I really miss the Basic Grey wholly cow rub-ons. Those things were the best. I still have a few that I use sparingly. They still go on like butter.
I miss Lifetime Moments online store and the brick/mortar stores and the magazines.
I also miss the original style of Crate Paper (Crush & they had a cream/black collection that I absolutely loved). The newer collections just don't have the same feel.
ETA: Scenic Route, how could I have forgotten them???

I also miss the actual scrapbook manufacturers. Pioneer "Family Treasures" cloth post bound was my go-to book. Then when I couldn't get them, Colorbok had one that I loved "Perfect scrapbook" or something like that. All the books I have found nowadays have hard, pointed corners instead of rounded, and they all seem to have a cut out in the front for a pic or whatever. I don't like that... I just want a plain, solid front cover. :/

I miss the WRMK postbound linen albums more than anything else, but I agree with others about the variety and Bazzill being Bazzill. They just discontinued/ran out of my two favorite white Bazzill cardstocks, and it's depressing! I also miss magazines and contests, like the one Chatterbox did every year. I never entered, but I really loved seeing the winners!
ETA: Little Yellow Bicycle. How did I forget that? I loved all the textural variety in their lines.

I miss the kit club that my friend started at our LSS...both of which are now defunct (the kit club...not her!!!). I could use her kits up in no time.
I, too, miss GB.

Basic Grey. A blogging buddy sent me a bunch of Basic Grey kits which are wonderful. I also miss the variety we used to have before the scrapbooking world turned pink and aqua.

Basic Grey without a doubt. It was the first scrapbook paper I ever bought! In fact I just found a few pieces of old paper this morning!
