That is what happens when the basement floods. My sweet kids came over and emptied the entire room. It is now on the first floor. Quite a mess, and sobering to see all the supplies. Very lucky, in that anything that was on the floor was in plastic, so very little damage. Blessings!
I am participating in the no spend January, I think I will go for a no spend 2018!!
Our family has had such a rough December, and it has spilled over into January. Our friends brought dinner over last night, another blessing!
Thanks for listening.

Oh my! Any kind of disruption in our homes is awful, but at the same time, seeing your scrap stuff may help you fall in love with some of it again that you kind of forgot. If my scraproom flooded I would lose everything from albums to memorabilia because it is a chaotic mess.
January has been rough for me and others I know as well, but I think it is just spillover from 2017. Like there was too much crap in 2017 to be contained to just 12 months. I believe we're on the upswing, hopefully...

(((((HUGS))))) to you! How did the flood happen?
Glad your scrap trove went mostly unscathed and that it now has a new home, and you got some help moving it. Was there damage to other areas of the basement? Will you need to do many repairs?
NOT the way to start the new year!

I'm so sorry. Even if nothing was damaged it's still frustrating to deal with. I hope 2018 improves significantly for you from this point.

I feel for you--my scrappy area is in the basement and whenever we have a very wet period we have water that seeps in. We know where the worst areas are so anything in those areas are stored in plastic or propped up somehow. But of course I get lax in my scrappy area as my supplies seem to multiply overnight, so whenever we have water seepage I have to quickly pick up things before the water spreads more.

Hugs! I am sorry that you are dealing with a flood. But glad that most of your scrappy supplies survived.

Thank peas! Our sump pump died, and then we had a hard rain. More damage on the other side of the basement. Carpets are ruined and we had to turn it in to our insurance. I'm going thru supplies I forgot I had. I have never purged, but it's time! So far, 5 inches of patterned paper set aside. My friends can take what they want. I will donate the rest.

That's awful about the flood! But you will be so happy whenever or wherever you put your scrap space.

We had that happen many, many years ago during a very hard rain. I totally empathize with you. Hugs as you start the major clean up.
