This year is just Marching right along! Welcome to monthly Sketch/Scraplift challenge! Each month, I will post both a sketch, and a LO for you to lift, or draw inspiration. I'll be including something for both 1 page scrappers, as well as 2 page scrappers, and some of the LO's can be modified to fit either one. I like seeing the creativity of changing them up! I think it will be fun to see what you pick, or if you decide to do both! Here we go! With all of the challenges we had last month, I'm sure most of you didn't have a chance to take a wack at these LO's, so I'm keeping them for this month, just in case y'all are interested. As you know, in scraplifting/using sketches, your LO's can end up looking exactly like the inspiration piece, or you can let your creativity run wild! These are just jumping off points to get you rolling. Have fun, and link your LO's back to this thread so that we can all see your piece of art and give you some lovin'! admin , please add to the master list. Thank you!

Here's my sketch LO! I hope to get to the 2 pager today, or next week. I LOVE how many photos are on it!

KikiPea I really, really like this sketch. I love your take on it, too, especially the addition of the embellishment cluster at the top right.

Ooooh! I LOVE that sketch with the circle and stars. I have to try that one. And the double page spread will me add a bit of variety to my photo heavy pages. And gorgeous page, KikiPea! Can I add your "numbers" into the 28-4-28 tally? This would count as a Free Style b/c it doesn't fit the challenges over there.

I wasn't planning on playing, but maybe I will take a look, again, and join in the fun.

Cool! I have added KikiPea to the list of participants. I will add your score in this evening. Trying to keep the points collection to the end of the day so it doesn't consume me and so I don't miss anyone or count something twice in my confusion.

made layout a 2 pager ... I did the 1st one several months ago. Adapted both pages from my 12x12 Lazy Scrapbooker pad. I know this is kind of wild for the sketch, but I swear, I started with it!

Love your companion page, @elaynef. A sketch is just a jump off point. Where you land is up to your own creativity! Did you link it to the 28-4-28 STRETCH challenge? If not, that's okay. I have it added to today's list of points to add. Here is the page I did this morning for the sketch. Actually stuck closer to it than I normally do. I was inspired by the big circle, the strips and the stars. This page photo didn't turn out very well--pretty washed out. I think b/c I took the photo in full sunlight, the glitter pp reflected back to the camera and washed out all the other colours. The boys are really not that jaundiced! I am going to "claim" this as a Free Style for 28-4-28 little men by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

no picture but I used the sketch to do a page today. kraft background, red semi-circle (used my pages by design template - had to dust them off first, lol), and a christmas paper from a craftsmith pad (kraft with green leaves/red ribbons) - I tore the top edge of that. Matted two photos in a dark green and cut stars and title (St Nicholas Day) from white cardstock with my Cricut. I pop-dotted the stars. I'm layering-challenged AND scrapping 8.5x11 so I skipped all the strips at the bottom and just spread my title across that space instead. grammadee -claiming as freestyle

and I gave the scraplift a try as well. Adapting it to 8.5x11 meant less photos but I still ended up with 9 across my 2-page spread Background paper is a green diagonal stripe from Paper Studio's Murphy's Square paper pad (which I picked up for 3.75 this morning - woohoo for clearance!). I added 1/2 of a PL card (kept the words "Camp Like You Mean It" - ditched the photo of the RV), a clear 'great outdoors sticker' and a matted 'Under the Stars' sticker as well as 2017 in foam alpha stickers. Photos were from our Girl Scout troop campout in early December grammadee - another freestyle contribution

Ooh I like both of these! KikiPea cute photos! I love the mix of all the colours in your page. @elaynef I love the full size cut file and all the patterns. Great page, tfs.

I lifted the single page sketch for my right side, and s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d it into a 2 pager. I used the Pebbles Garden Party 6x6 pad. Back to school for my HS freshman and my college sophomore.

I LOVE these pages! So many layers, yet with subtle colours that don't overwhelm the photos. And you have found a way to tie the two together in such an unassuming (didn't want to use "subtle" again. Maybe "elegant"?) yet effective way. I feel a lift coming on...

@elaynef I adore the pretty colors in your layout. msliz I really like the clean lines in your layout. That is how I usually scrap, too. grammadee I already left you love on the stretch challenge, but I still like what you did!

I did another layout using the sketch. Simplified it a bit to make it fit my style but kept the basic elements. Background is a tone-on-tone train print in brown from Paper Studio's Little Boys and their toys. I used a green cardstock for the circle and cream for the lower half of the page. Matted my single 4x6 photo in cream and black. Added tiny circular alphas (from Doodlebug) for my title under the photo (Mikasa Park) and finished off with a strip of the green cardstock near the bottom of the cream cardstock. Photo is a steam train on display at Mikasa Park in Yokosuka, Japan. grammadee - freesyle

Very pretty, stinkerbelle! I love the doily and that you used enamel dots (gems? Nuvo drops?) to circle "your" people in the photos.

This is doing double duty for lilacgal Colour Chaos challenge for Day 18 too. I did a digital TN page, which I shall print and put in my book. I might even split the layers and do a print and cut with Silhouette, haven't decided yet. Crazy Diamond by Jane Bradbury, on Flickr I also rotated the design and it's happily displaying as my banner across Facebook, Twitter and Google+. I bet I could get a card out of the design too... Supplies: - Background - heart from Boho Wedding with effects added by me
- Papers from Spring Breeze by Shabby Princess
- Diamond heart and feathers from Boho Wedding, arrow from an Arrows graphic pack at The Hungry JPEG
- Font: Bebas Neue; Revolution from The Hungry JPEG
- Sketch from the 2Peas March Challenge

Ok, I've jumped back into scrapping feet 1st! I did this one last night using some very old my minds eye paper. I've been putting off scrapbooking my sons Air Force BMT graduation photos and finally decided to just do it! The sketch really helped!

Okay, wow, that's huge! Sorry! Don't know how to resize cause I post from the app and they all look the same size on there. Edited to add: That's the smallest I could get it in Snapseed!! It's a little better

Great take on the sketch, @charliegirl! I like seeing a bigger photo so I can see the details. That plaid is the perfect colour for these photos. I like plaid, anyway, but this one is an exceptional fit for the page.
