I bought it from Amazon on Jan. 24th for $299. Can I get refunded the difference, and if so, how?

I bought it from Amazon on Jan. 24th for $299. Can I get refunded the difference, and if so, how? Doubtful, but worth a try. The day after I received a kindle paper white it went on sale, they wouldn’t give me the difference. I could have sent it back and reordered, but that was my only option. I love Amazon, but I hate that policy. i think it might be cheaper from Brother direct though if they send the 15% coupon code, isn’t it? I am still waiting for my code, I may try a different email.

scrapnnana It would be best to contact Amazon via messaging them. The Amazon associate would be able to determine that- since you purchased it recently, hopefully they will refund you the difference. I would message them as soon as you can- if it goes up to $299 (just checked it before I wrote this), then they won't refund you.

Doubtful, but worth a try. Aww, I'm sorry, I didn't know that they had that policy! I would still try anyway (just in case)- thanks for letting us know about the Brother coupon!

So sorry to hear this... and I sure hope that Amazon does the right thing and refunds you the difference. I bought mine directly from the Brother website and paid $340 (CDN) using the 15% welcome coupon. It arrived last week and the price dropped by $50 almost immediately! I contacted Brother and they were wonderful. Absolutely no questions asked - obviously they could see that I had just purchased it - and they are in the process of providing a refund for the difference. Mention that to Amazon. I don't know of many companies that won't agree to price match within a certain timeframe, and you would certainly qualify! Good luck and keep us posted!

I'm still hemming and hawing over whether or not I should buy it, lol.

I really like the idea of being able to cut out my stamped images p but I don’t know if I’d use it enough to justify the expense.

Well not to enable, but think about how many stamps you use and how many matching dies you might want to buy. Some of them can be quite expensive. I’ve bought Altenew matching dies in the past and some of theirs can be $30. If you work on an average of $10 for small to medium sets, it probably wouldn’t take that long before you get your money’s worth!

And again, not to enable, but if you are wanting to cut out a bunch of each stamped image, you have to run them through your die cutting machine separately. Scan-N-Cut will cut out a sheet of stamped images in a minute or so!

Just an FYI that for Canada at least, the 15% off coupon code is WELCOMEBR

I really like the idea of being able to cut out my stamped images p but I don’t know if I’d use it enough to justify the expense. I feel the same way. I have been eyeing the Costco Scan n Cut which is an earlier version for 150,but all i'd want to do is cut out stamped images, so it's all i would need. I don't mind fussy cutting and have dies for about 20% of my stamps, so I don't know. I really really dislike computerized stuff in my scrap room so that's why i've holding off. But for $150...so cheap when dies cost 20 and up per set.

The cost of dies is what finally pushed me into buying it. I had just come home with 6 new stamp sets, and the matching dies would have been half the cost of the machine. I know I will continue to buy stamps from that company, and I have a huge collection of stamps with no matching dies.
Even if Amazon doesn't refund the price difference, it was still worth it. I am sitting at the car dealership, waiting for an oil change. I brought an Art Bin with markers, ink pads, sponge daubers, and a ton of stamped images that I have cut out with the Scan N Cut. I can color while I wait for my car to be serviced.

Well I don't have a scan n cut - I use my Cameo and Pixscan mat but I've saved heaps by not having to buy dies and I've been really pleased with the results of the Pixscan mat.
