I cancelled my hero arts monthly card kit this morning. I have so much stuff that I'm not using already. I'm going to have to love product real bad to justify buying anymore. I'll still keep checking in on the first Monday but I will only buy if I love it. I'm considering buying the tonic craft kit. I'll have to think about it some more.

I felt the same way when I canceled my FJ kit. I had accumulated so much, I wanted to use it up.

I felt the same way when I canceled my FJ kit. I had accumulated so much, I wanted to use it up. I cancelled my FJ and Freckled Fawn in the Fall and it made me sad but I had to use up everything.
I'm still drowning in stuff but it's getting better. I'm lucky to have a DD who likes to make cards.

I found kits a wonderful way to get into scrapping: so many matching items, all in one place. But now that I have a huge stash, have learned how to mix and match supplies, and feel more comfortable with the choices I make, I don't feel the need for them so much any more. And when I "need" new stuff, I would rather pick out exactly what I will use, without all the extras or duplicates.
It's sad, though, to realize that box won't be waiting for you like a once-a-month birthday surprise.
I have cut back to just one kit which I like because she usually picks out supplies I would not normally buy for myself, so the kit pushes me creatively.

It's always a little sad. I have started using my Felicity Jane kits more because I don't want to cancel my subscription.

It’s often the way. I’ve become a lot more picky as well.

“Too much stuff” is the reason I’ve never subbed. I’ve always bought things here and there that I’ve liked and hava a moderate stash. I don’t do enough scrapping to use up a kit full of products every month. I have toyed with buying a kit or two though since some of them are pretty nice.

I felt a little sad when I canceled my SSS kit sub. Now you have an extra $35 per month to spend on something you really want!

I used to subscribe to studio calico PL and SB kit plus another kit called Paper Camilia (not sure I spelled that properly). Anyhow, I stopped both them them when I went on my freeze in 2016 and used quite a lot of the supplies I accumulated. It felt good to use the supplies and for the first months I did miss getting the surprise in the mail. After a few months it felt good and I did not feel bad about not using all of the stuff that was coming in the mail.

I’m getting my last kit today. I hope I like it more in person.

That's how I felt when I cancelled Club Scrap many years ago. At that time, they were really getting into cards and in their scrapbook kits, they were including other paper craft items, and all I wanted to do was scrapbook. The other things are great, just not my cup of tea. It was sad, but I'm happy I didn't continue to spend money accumulating stuff I'd never use.

Gezzzs. I feel tempted to sign back on. I hope I didn’t jump the gun.

Gezzzs. I feel tempted to sign back on. I hope I didn’t jump the gun. I suspect you did the right thing for you. Give it a couple weeks, and if you still feel this way, you can sign back on. With Club Scrap, they eventually recognised that some scrapbookers didn't want all the other stuff, so now they have some scrapbook-only kits...but the price has almost doubled, so I'm not signing back on. I'm sticking with my Ali Edwards kits that I both use and find to be affordable.

It's always sad when you first cancel, but it becomes really freeing...I find I use my stuff better now. When I subbed it was more about opening the kits, looking at all the fun...then putting it aside...so I miss the fun of opening, but not the guilt of adding more stuff I'm not using.

What did you see that caused you to change your mind? I canceled mine a few weeks ago and the February kit was my last one. I am seeing more posts with the kit which I like. I do hate cutting the dies apart though.
I too looked at the tonic but it seems expensive and shipping is extra. May look at the SSS one.
