I don't have a sample for you, but here is your next Weekend Workout!
Shape up! Create a page or card or other project that is not the traditional square or rectangular shape.
There are lots of shaped card designs, from a Christmas stocking to a birthday cake.
Arrange your valentines page on a big heart. A circle could be the perfect background for a soccer page.
Dig out your WRMK Lucky 8 punches, and give your page a bracket--or other--border.
Or or if changing the whole shape of your page is too scary, then use a traditional border punch and give it a scalloped edge. I know I have some border punches at home that punch straight lines AND the matching corners.
Come on. Time to think outside the box!

Now that I am home, here is my sample. I tend to be drawn to papers with clocks and gears on them, and this circle page was part of the lovely Kaisercraft Betsy's Couture collection. I could have put it on a cs page to back it, but I plan to slide it into the page protector unbacked. 72 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

I scanned this so there is a white background, but it's not attached (if that makes sense). Thanks for the motivation. I have a couple dozen of these type of diecut papers that were popular several years back. It is long past time I used one!

And that your clustering around it is off to the side. I still have a bunch of these too. Had to have them, then didn't know what to do with them. Most I have attached to cs, either in whole or in part, but it was fun to just work with the circle. (Mine is photographed on a woodgrain table, but it really is a naked circle, too!)

(Not sure if this counts.)This traditional layout was based on a "ring." The Halloween papers were quite old (as are the pictures-from 2010)from my stash & were a mix of My Mind's Eye Frightful & Echo Park The Apothecary Emporium. 28-4-28 by Pati Nuce, on Flickr

If this were grading for a final exam, you might lose some marks for not following instructions to a T, but that big shape is very much an important element on this page .

grammadee lovely page, great texture throughout! thracian very pretty! patin I think, whether your page counts for the challenge or not, it’s another page done, another memory documented, and (presumably) you had fun doing it, so it’s a win! I really like the border at the bottom, fun title and accents and those adorable photos!

While I was going through my camping/outdoorsy paper, I came across this Kaisercraft paper that was perfect for this challenge. Sorry it blends in with my table. Maligne Canyon by Jacqueline Bruce, on Flickr

I'm just going to share this here, cause you know, why not? I can't claim any points for it cause I did it in January for a DT challenge but it's a chocolate box! I had always wanted one of those big ol heart shaped boxes of chocolates and OH gave me one for our anniversary last year. I couldn't just chuck it away so I painted it and made something to hang on the wall! And here it is on my lounge wall, I sit and look right at it!

What an awesome idea, kiwigirl! And it looks beautiful. We are told to "think OUTSIDE the box", but I love the idea of "thinking INSIDE the box"!

Here is a birthday card I made for our soon to be 12 year old dgd. I handcut a heart from printer paper the old fashioned way (by folding it in half). Then I used it as a template to cut the folded card base. heart card by Gramma Dee, on Flickr
