Today's word is music!
Scrap an instrument or a concert or a toddler playing cymbals with pot lids
or
use music themed paper or embellishments
or
be inspired by a song or a piece of music or a type of music
or
scrap about your (or someone else's) favourite song, singer, band, genre, instrument...or maybe about the music of your youth or the lullabies you sang your child (or your mum or dad sang to you)

Thanks linda. I got nothing for this one.... will have to get my thinking cap on but music isn't really my thing so nothing is springing to mind so far unfortunately. I fear I may have a very tenuous link to the word today lol!

sorry kiwigirl - I'm sure you'll come up with something - remember it just has to be inspired by music, doesn't have to be about music

Right, here it is! I started thinking I could just use a song title as my title. Then I found a pic of my friend Trish and I. We used to have some awesome nights at her house when we were much younger, drinking like absolute lushes and singing our hearts out to Celine Dion, the Grease soundtrack and we can't forget the Spice Girls (girl power!!). Then I found some music paper and used a bit of that as well as that awesome cassette tape one too. So I think I got the music thing covered in the end lol! Thanks for a great challenge linda !

Linda, this is a great prompt. I have lots of photos of my grands playing musical instruments. Thanks for hosting this. kiwigirl , your layout made me laugh. Such fun with music and tapes and fun musical times together. Love the doodles around the edge and the bright colors. Excellent choice. I pulled out these photos to do a freestyle layout but didn't get to it. When MUSIC was the prompt, I was happy to pull it together. I had planned to go to Michael's on Monday to find some orange flowers, but decided to make them myself and finish it tonight. Sorry the edges don't show against the white background. Here's my page with extended journaling in the pocket. I clearly need to clean my scanner plate as the photo doesn't have the marks above his head.

This is a 2-page traditional with a 2 page pocket page for music. I used paper & rubber stamps from The Blues collection from Club Scrap. This is my newly discovered sister & I taking in a live band with our hubbys in New Jersey. 28-4-28 by Pati Nuce, on Flickr

Here is my MUSIC LO. My 5 yr old dgs's school hosted a family dance and he was stoked to have his parents and Gramma all attend with him. Don't know if you can read the journaling, but he spent the first little while casing the joint: watching the musicians and the other kids. Then he got right into it: he was a dancing machine! I tried to channel kiwigirl on the title block. I love the way it looks, but I really need to figure out a way to make those little bottles deliver smooth drops. I need to follow suggestions elsewhere on the board: store them upside down? Maybe remove and clean out the caps? Soak them in hot water for awhile before doing any of that? first school dance by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

grammadee what a fun page! so sweet he wanted you all to go too i love the fun music paper and black-on-black title! as for the nuvo drops, i've no advice because i tried to use mine like kiwigirl too and had a really hard time. some wouldn't even come out, some were super thick and ugh none of them worked well enough. luckily i didn't just go for it on a LO! for now i popped them upside down, so hopefully that will help. i don't have tons of colors but i'll be sad if they're already trash

stinkerbelle that guitar paper is perfect, I really love how it brings some lightness and colour to what is a reasonably dark coloured photo. The cluster is pretty fabulous too (I so love that dancing panda!)
