I ask because as much as i appreciate having the fine nozzle it comes with, it is forever getting clogged not matter what i do. I've stuck pins inside the nozzle but i still get build up. it's a shame to chuck out the remaining bottle out of frustration.
Anyone ever put it in a different bottle that didn't clog?

I transfered a small amount into one of those Darice bottles with the needle that is used for a lid. It was really hard to transfer and I think it is too thick for such a fine tip. On the plus side it has not clogged! lol But I can only really use it for fine detail or very small spaces. They may have bigger tipped bottles I haven't even thought to look till I just typed this out!

I transferred some to a small Darice bottle, too. I didn't find the GA to be too thick but the matte multi was. Did you know if you put push the tip of the GA bottle to one side it will pop out? Then rather than transferring to a new bottle you can just replace the tip with either a FineLine tip or the Darice tip. I bought my FineLine tips from an LSS and I think they were $2.99 each. I prefer it over the Darice tip.

I don't use GA, so no idea how thick it is...but I put my Scotch Quick-Dry (or whatever it's been renamed) into an empty Elmer's Glue bottle.
Now I can adjust how much comes out at once and the dried glue is easy to pick off the cap when I'm ready to glue something, no pins or paperclips needed.

Glossy accents in the needle nose didn’t work for me, but my multi media matte works well in one of those.

(I have the bigger bottle) My GA might be old but my biggest problem is the the thickness of mine. Maybe I will try ordering the snaller bottle.

I have a problem with mine turning yellow after a few uses, so I have never reached the point where I want to try to transfer it. I have had better luck with Aleene's Paper Glaze with the needle nose tip. aleenes.com/aleenes-paper-glaze

I tried to use some GA on my Christmas cards and lucky for me that I tried it on a scrap first! It was so yellow I tossed it on the trash! I had another unopened bottle and it's ok, but I'm wondering if now that I've opened it the same thing will happen! Anyway, to answer your question - I have a small bottle and a larger size one and I use FineLine tips with both. They come in different sizes. So far they have worked for me. I use a Darice fine tip bottle for the Ranger Collage Medium and it's not working at all. I think I'll buy another FineLine tip for that one.

I love that idea and will do that now. I use that glue a lot and sometimes have clogging problems with that tip too.

They clog because air gets inside. Turn the bottle up-side down and squeeze only until you see a drop, quickly put the cap on and store it up-side down. When you next use it, just pick off the dried blob. Works for me. Another trick is the nipple trick. www.youtube.com/watch?v=goi6xjmYR1E.

Don't throw out your yellow bottles. Use it purely for adhesive. No need to waste it

I put the needle nose tip on a small bottle of GA and then do this. Works great, has never clogged. I store all my stickles bottles this way, too.

The Jen McGuire link that scrapincin shared ^^ has a suggestion for the bigger bottles of GA if you don't want to start over with a smaller bottle.

Thanks, I could never figure out which needle nose tip to buy online (or find them at the store), and the Elmer's Glue bottle was sitting there almost empty... i was using it last night and i was so pleased at how much time i saved not having to stop and unclog the nozzle. seriously, i never realized how much time i wasted doing that until i didn't have to do it.
