Grrrrrrr I unboxed it in Jan, have probably used it 10 times where it cut the paper like hot butter and now the last 3-4 times I've tried it only goes 1/2 way through the paper. I've tried lowering the blade to 7 and cleaned out some paper that was stuck. I'm using the Neenah 80b paper.
suggestions? the blade is supposed to last longer than that right?

I set my blade at 9-1/2 for Neenah 110 lb. cover stock. I'd try that.

That is weird. That weight of Neenah is what I typically use for stamping on. I've only had mine since February. I'm trying to think how many times I've used it in that time. Maybe about 8 to 10 times, several images on each sheet per time.
It's possible that the blade somehow got chipped or dulled at the tip, but I should think it would last longer than that. If you cut glitter paper, it could ruin the blade, but just ordinary paper should not do that. It sounds almost as though the blade isn't locking down into the holder all the way or something.
I would try switching out the blade with a new one just to see if it makes a difference. If it doesn't, you might try talking to the company.

After using it many, many times, it wasn't cutting clear through any more. When I looked at the blade, it was set at 5, if I remember correctly. Which is just plain odd because I set it at 9-1/2 when I originally set it up in January. I don't know if the movement/vibrations of the SnC in action caused it to move but a reset to 9-1/2 made everything perfect again. |

Ok I think I had it set to 6.5 originally. I can't remember what paper I was using when I first got it. I thought I read somewhere 9 was too high? I'll move it up and see what happens. Thanks!
