another forum i've visited in the past had an ongoing team challenge, where members were separated into teams and then "competed" against each other to see which team could do the most scrapping. after the success of our 28-4-28, i wondered if anyone here would be interested in having our own team challenge?
i am a lazy scrapper, and while i truly love it, i'm very able to talk myself into doing other things...i'd like to really keep my momentum from 28-4-28 and now calvinball going throughout the year. i know we have great monthly challenges here already, but somehow the competition aspect makes it more fun for me and gives some accountability.
so any takers? i'd love to hear your thoughts!

Oh, now that would just be unfair!  The UKScrappers board do this too, with people in Houses with names like Blue Brads. Being a bit of a grumpy sort I never joined one but I liked the idea. I'd be willing to join in. The established challenges could be a starting place perhaps? In Calvinball manner we could give them points, and then add other ideas, although we'd have to keep the list of "rules" manageable or we'd spend all our time reading what we could do instead of doing |

yes, i think ukscrappers is where i got the idea...i once did a shimelle class there and then poked around some would love to have you join up, grumpy or not! |

I'm good at 'freestyle' but not so good at remembering the challenges once I sit down to scrap!

I think the UKScrappers version resets each month, with new challenges. That's why I think the established challenges would fit well with the idea, because people already take part in those and haven't got to find extra time. The only addition would be the points. Bonus challenges could be added for those who want to do more. I reckon we should give it a whirl  |

Or if some members can play some months but not others? What if stinkerbelle and JaneB were team captains since they know how these challenges work? Can you PM each other to come up with rules, how to set up teams, challenge details, scoring and plan on starting in April? |

My husband and I haven't moved from our respective sick beds since Friday. I'm only sat up now because I've had a nosebleed, my first ever!  The idea of the Team challenges are continual, but renewing each month, just like our regular challenges do already. Anyone can join a team and play along as much or as little as they like. Anything you do create can be given points for the team. stinkerbelle can you give me another day or so to recover? I might be able to think straight by Tuesday - I hope! |
