I didn't know really how to phrase that.. but what I am saying.. is that on a weekend crop I was loading my stuff back into my car and i was piling my stuff onto this 'lift' (it went up and down the stairs so you didn't have to carry your stuff up/down) I turned the life on for it to go down the stairs and it hit a bump and ...well one of my vertical paper storage boxes that I had on there went flying off into the snow along with all my 3/4 inches of paper (which was all my purples).. so here I am running around 'saving' all my paper... all wet!! So I finished loading up and put all that paper on top of my load and got home.
I unpacked and got into my jammies. THEN pull out the ironing board and proceeded to iron all my 1/2 wet wrinkled paper. It kinda worked. The paper never did lay flat again and to this day you can still see my purple paper and the part that was wrinkled. It was pretty funny seeing me run around in the snowbanks picking up tons of purple scrapbook paper! That had to be at least 12 years ago!! and I still have some of that paper!

Wow, I don't think I've ever worked that hard to save supplies from mishaps. The only time I went crazy like that is when I was trying to save my carpet from an acrylic paint spill. Black paint on beige shag, but I moved fast and I got it clean!
Ironing your paper? Impressive!

I would probably be waving it goodbye.. UNLESS it was something like my beloved OA papers!

Not exactly the same, but once I had a whole plastic file tote full of those plastic screw together bead organizers (all full of various brads, small buttons, clips, etc.) fall out of the back of the car onto my driveway. About 2/3 of the organizers broke and popped open, dumping thousands of brads all together mixed up in the bottom of the tote. Thank God the lid of the tote stayed on, because I had a gravel driveway at the time! I spent HOURS sorting out that huge mess. Ugh.

Sort of along the same lines, I think.
I bought a new organizer for my sequins. As I am transferring them from their original packaging into one of the small containers, I notice I am spending an inordinate amount of time going after those last few sequins that have static clung themselves to the sides of the cellophane package. Because I only have hundreds of them and each one is worth $.0001

I have individually picked up eyelets that were originally separated by color but then scattered all over the floor. Took an hour or two. 🤦♀️

I feel like this thread should be entitled "closet confessions of a scrapaholic." LOL I would do many of these things as well.
