Sorry if this has already been posted but I wasn't sure if this has been resolved yet. I was hoping to get one and wasn't sure if the MISTI people had been called off yet or if they were still trying to get it taken off the market. Since I have a blog and hopefully someday a youtube channel I like to use products that will actually be around BUT I am not a MISTI fan and would rather have the TH if it's still available. (plus I think MISTI is being ridiculous!) I've had 2 MISTI's in the past and while they were okay I don't think the price is justified at all, plus they are a bit flimsy in my opinion. (my smaller one actually warped!)

The TH platform is out. I have it and really like it. I never got a MISTI so I can't compare FYI -Stampin up has also recently come out with a version that has two windows for stamping...you might want to take a look there too.

I am not sure if the lawsuits have been resolved or not, but Tonic must have felt it was safe to release it, because the Tim Holtz Platform has been available for purchase in the US for several months now. Other companies have also since come out with their own version of a stamp platform. The ones that I think look most promising are the Stampin' Up Platform, and the Sizzix version (Sizzix either just came out with one or is about to release it).
I personally love my Tim Holtz/Tonic Stamp Platform. I actually have two: one for me, and one to share when a friend comes over to visit. One friend who came to visit and tried it ordered her own after she used mine.
However, there are a few gals here who have had issues with the Tim Holtz/Tonic not stamping properly in spots. Some gals have tried both and say they get better results with the MISTI. They are not all MSP fans, either.
You might want to check the Stamping board for the posts/reviews wbout it, and also to read about the various stamp platforms that have come out as competitors to the MISTI.

I have 2 MISTIs and 2 TH Platforms. I have the TH Traveler's version on order. When that comes in, I will get rid of the MISTIs. My MISTI is in terrible shape (and this is the replacement one I begrudgingly got from MSP when mine cracked within a month after buying it).
To me, the Platform is much sturdier. I have had ink, glue, adhesive, paint and who knows what else on it and it cleans up like a breeze and looks like I just took it out of the box. I have had 1 slight issue with stamping but I really think it was a defect in the stamp (one area was not the same height as the rest of the stamp). It's also a better price, if that is a consideration.

The TH one is out AND there is a smaller version coming out soon. You can get the TH one from Joann.com. It's been marked down to 40% off recently, so if you want it, wait for a sale. $23.99 is a great price...and I really hope they get the smaller one as I want that, too.

The Sizzix version is different than the others. It has a hinge, but it also has feet that cushion each of the corners, so the stamp comes down straighter rather than at a slight angle.

I got the Tim Holtz platform about a month ago and love it. I can't believe I didn't think I would really *need* it, but splurged with a gift card and now I wouldn't be without it!
