Yes, I mainly do pocket pages, 12 x 12. I just picked up another BH PL album on sale JoAnn's today for next year.

I thought I had an epiphany moment on how to decrease my cluttered craft room - I was going to ditch all of my PL stuff since I've never 100% completed an album. (Started MANY pocket page albums but make it to around April, one even to August, and then just never finished.) Well, lo and behold, as I was stacking up all my PL supplies, my son (age 16) saw what I was doing and said "Those are my favorite albums you make, keep all that stuff!I think you need to do more albums like that." (This coming from the kid who usually doesn't care about any of my crafting!) Well, as a mom of all boys, you can imagine how much this pleased me! I truly didn't think they cared much about my scrapbooks. Now I'm back to the drawing board about how to make room in the craft room, but feeling like I may give another PL-style album a go for 2018! Thoughts? Do you still do PL or think it's kind of out? Just curious! This is so funny to read because the only reason why I started PL (added:) again this year was because my 13 year old son asked when I would be working on the one from 2017. Well, there is none. I scaled it down to one 12x12 spread per week and I love it. It’s my first love and it will be my last. I was so happy that my son pushed me to start again.

Like many others, I do both. Layouts when the picture/story warrants it. Pocket pages when it's just cute little moments. This As to supplies, I think a lot of people print digital pocket cards too.

For supplies I subscribe to Ali Edwards kits--she has 2 monthly kits geared towards project life and they are great quality cards with square corners + embellishments. One of them is super cheap, only $10 per month for cards + chipboard + a stamp.

OP, I love that your son asked you to continue. My son is 18 now, and he still loves looking at our scrapbooks. I did PL for all of 2013, at which point my son got really sick for two years, so I stopped doing it. I go back and look at that 2013 PL and am so grateful that I did it - I get a glimpse of life before our lives were turned upside down.
He started getting better in late 2015/early 2016, but I didn't start doing PL again until this year. I use Ali Edwards' kits now. I am loving it all over again. My son still has at least another year of high school to make up due to his illness, but then he's off to college, so I really want to make sure I document routine life at home right now.
I don't feel the need to document every single year, but I'm happy I have a year here and there. I continue to do regular 12x12 pages as well, for longer stories.

Thoughts? Do you still do PL or think it's kind of out? Just curious! I use divided sheet protectors for my family albums. My life is boring and I rarely have events that are page worthy to scrap, but I like to record some of the little things we've done, weather that's out of the norm, a minor kid accomplishment, and other random stuff. I don't do weekly spreads. I fill up one album and go to the next. One album has three years in it! I know a lot of the peas don't like core kits, but I have maybe 6 of them and I like to use them for quick scrapping. If I do have a lot of photos of one event, I use my Project Life metal dies and make cards. My favorite page I've done is a soccer game. I do have separate albums for holidays and birthdays. These are for when I want to be more crafty and use lots of embellishments and papers. Yes, sometimes I scrap the same thing twice, but my family album is very basic. It mostly consists of core kit cards and a few extras.

I don't do ANY scrapping chronologically (meaning, no 'one album per year') but I use pocket pages along with regular 12x12 layouts to increase the # of photos I can put on a layout. I also make some 'random' round-up or monthly pocket page layouts... ones that cover an entire month, perhaps, or random pictures that don't fit with anything else. But scrapping chronologically at the expense of my creativity and inspiration is an absolute FUN-SUCK for me, and the surest way to get me to stop altogether-- scrapping chronologically is why I quit doing it for a period of years, until I realized I could scrap whatever I wanted if I used a 3-ring album. I can't scrap chronologically either. It does suck the fun out for me. BUT I hate it if they aren't in order. I tried the Library of Memories system and switched everything back! In many of my albums I have uncompleted pages with post it notes of what I want to do to finish the page. My albums would probably bother OCD people.

I occasionally do pocket pages, usually when I have a lot of pictures to scrap. Mostly I do traditional page layouts. I just find it fun and relaxing.

My kids and all their friends love these books and always love to see how many times they “make the book “ . I do regular albums as well but these by and far are the ones that get looked at all the time .

BUT I hate it if they aren't in order. I oh, me too. I scrap whatever I want, but do put the pages MOSTLY in order when I put them in my albums. I sort of do Library of Memories, kind of... I have separate albums for Home and Family, two albums for the different Places We Go, and an album of just my stuff. I also have a PL-style album that's all pocket pages, but I do a month at a time, and I do random months / seasons, or whatever I can make fit on a page spread.

I never jumped on the Project Life bandwagon, but I do enjoy pocket pages mixed in with my regular layouts.
Since Ali Edwards came out with the Stories by the Month kit, I’ve been using that to do a pocket page spread of the little bits of life that don’t make it to a full layout.
Full disclosure: I’ve only completed January, but I really like that spread!

Still doing pockets! My husband and I just have our cat so the book is more of a reflection of my/our lives. This year I'm doing a 6 x 8 and do about 2 pages per week. Maybe add in a half page if there was a special event. I just edit things down.
So I do my one album a year and december daily. And I'm doing a wedding album right now because duh.
Since I'm a working professional in the television industry, I can work anywhere from 40 - 70+ hours a week. It really helps make the process go faster/efficient so I can just be creative but not get analysis paralysis.
I don't buy the PL branded products because I don't like the quality or designs. I subb to Kelly Purkey's month kit and I'm on the waiting list for the AE Stories of the Month. Then I just supplement with piece meal things I've bought from Studio Calico, Ali, and Scrapbook.com over the years. I have a pretty large collection I'm trying to use up.

I still love project life! What i did to keep it fresh is I switched to a 9x12 album, and I have all sorts of different styles of page protectors to use. The different sizes and option keeps it really interesting to me. I've never been much for traditional scrapbooking because it's so much effort for one or two photographs. I like that I can incorporate little moments into PL, say a pizza I made or 5 different cute pictures of my dog; things I would never make a full layout for. Here is a video where I show all the different sizes I came up with: www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbMrnPc2neM

I'm so busy these days, I mainly do Project Life. It is a good way to make sure our lives are documented, and I can go back and do full 12x12 layouts later when I have more time.

That is actually how I am going to do my scrapping from now on. I like all my photos together so I am going to basically do a photo album and put layouts in it. So if I have pictures from a birthday party I will throw them in and then add a layout or 2 to go with it. I see all these really pretty layouts with just one picture. While they are beautiful that doesn't work for me which is why I think I stopped scrapping. So I started just doing PL, and that seemed too boring. Then after doing DD this past year I found I really liked all the creativity that went with the pocket pages. So I have now decided to do my albums like that. I call it enhanced pocket scrapping!!

I do!
Well, I don't do a daily or weekly version. But I do love the pocket scrapbooking. I just don't have time for the big 12X12 layouts anymore. I primarily do 6X8 pocket albums for things like big vacations, or special events. This summer I'm hoping to put a 12X12 pocket album together of photos of my son's elementary school years.

2018 is my first year doing PL - I do a two-page spread every month. I basically put all my favorite photos and events for the month in there, and then I use my TNs for scrapping everything else (as well as my favorites again, if I'm honest). When family visit, they don't really want to look through 10 TNs; they want to see the monthly spreads. I feel like the PL are a nice gloss over for the month, but in the TNs, I can tell stories. It's been interesting. I wasn't sure I'd keep going past this year (I was experimenting), but now, maybe I will - I am toying with doing my TNs as usual next year but digital PL. It's the printing that always takes me time, not the assembling, you know? Whatever time I saved by using premade cards, I lose in printing all those photos.

I do a hybrid version of traditional layouts and pocket style pages. Definitely more pocket style pages if I'm being honest. I still scrapbook chronologically by event. Never did get into that photo a day or week/month in review nonsense lol. Pocket pages are great when you are scrapbooking a vacation or holiday where you have a lot of photos and/or memorabilia - at least for me. I agree with this. The only scrapbook that I keep up with is the family Christmas book which is ongoing. It's only been in the past few years that I started using pocket pages in the Christmas album...but still do traditional scrapping from time to time. I do a lot of handmade journals than actual scrapbooks anymore. ETA: To answer the rest of the OP's question: I've never really done PL although I like the idea of it. Our DD is grown so I don't have enough to PL about. If PL would have been around when our DD was growing up, I would definitely have used it to record her growing-up years. It's the same with the December Daily...I love the idea of it, but I just don't have enough activities to document throughout the month. I've done one Dec Daily (in 2013, I think) and even then I struggled with what to put in it most days.
