If one buys numerous items from a single store, is that considered one sale or does each item count as an individual sale?
Maybe one person bought a lot of stuff?

I looked at the sold dates, it's multiple buyers. Perhaps not 119 buyers, but certainly alot of buyers. The first sale was 6/14, last sale was today.

Well good luck to them. I'm sure they'd have even more success had they handled their closing differently.

It doesn't make any sense to me. It looks like on a $.79 item they'd make $0.29, is it even worth it? The shipping is only $1.50 which would have to be a plain, untracked envelope as to my knowledge even a 1 ounce package costs more than that. It's even less than 29c if you take into consideration the cost of the item, to them....since those things are exclusive 2Ps items, I would guess that they cost less than the usual w/s price one pays for goods that they are reselling, but it still cost them something to manufacture the item. On the shipping....if a small package is shipped, using online services (USPS, Paypal, Etsy shipping) with delivery confirmation, then the least expensive cost is $1.93 for a 1oz package. So he's losing 43c on shipping alone...IF he's using online shipping.

No, it's not, but I don't think selling 79c items on Etsy is anyone's idea of a success story. In fact, by the time someone pays the Etsy fees Paypal fees, and COGS, (Cost of Goods Sold) you're losing money on a 79c item. I have an Etsy store, with items that are lower prices and it is a nice little stream on income and I am not loosing $$. People don't really know what us going on and all the "theories" of what has happened are sometimes crazy! No wonder people have so much hate, a lot if it gets based on made up guesses and rumors!!!! If you are selling items for less than 79c, and unless you're making a profit on the shipping fees you charge, then there's actually no way you're making a nice little income stream. The math just does not support that story. There is a lot of conjecture about what's going on, but much of it is based on the way 2Ps has been run for years, and that's not rumor. I personally don't agree with buying something from their Etsy store just to leave bad FB, but a lot of people have been hurt by the actions of Jeff and Kristina, and may be tempted to do something vindictive. I don't think most folks will though, there really isn't that much hate out there, just a lot of people venting.

It's not a crime to want to succeed! Just a thought that came to me anyone think some disgruntled peas are buying said 79 cent items just to be able to leave bad feedback to their store? I know some people are really angry at them for a lot of things. (not me btw just a weird what if thought that came to me)
THAT would be a really shitty thing to do. Before coming to 2peas many years ago I had never ever met a bunch of vindictive people! It is mind boggling!! I must have been completely ignoring their store because I had never seen that stuff before. I must say it's super cute, and if I still scrapbooked, I would be tempted! However, I don't still scrapbook, so I'm not.

I don't get why they have "to see our full store, go to www.twopeasinabucket.com" on there? ? Did you not know that you would be closing that website a month later? I saw that too and thought the etsy store was probably just cheap advertising for their upcoming clearance sale.

Did etsy change its design format? On my home computer it's totally different yet here at work its the old version. For instance the mail button is not at the top in the new format.

Someone on one of my project life boards said when they clicked on a product in the actual Two Peas store, it took them to scrapbooks.com. Strange.. There is definitely something strange with that. Scrapbooks.com just made a Two Peas Gallery importer tool available. It automatically transfers all of your gallery posts to their site. A big fat Hmmmm... www.scrapbook.com/twopeas/

Etsy fees are 3.5% plus 0.20 listing fee for each item = 0.56 revenue on a .79 item.

Do you think they partnered with scrapbooks.com knowing that there would be some issues, in and intent to smooth things over?

Did your customer pay with Paypal? You have to figure PP fees into the mix. Do you print your Etsy orders or a customer receipt? Then you have to figure in the cost of paper and ink. Do you print your shipping labels? Do you put your orders into bubble envelopes? Do you consider your labor costs? The time it takes to photograph the item, list it, package and ship it? Believe me, you are not getting .56 on a 79c item.

Maybe they are just testing the waters and gathering (good) ratings before rolling out the bigger stuff. It just doesn't seem worth it to sell 79c items unless you selling hundreds a month.

Scrapbook.com,as far as I can see are doing this on their own. There's more deatils of why on their blog post. www.scrapbook.com/blog/view/418741.htmlI happen to think they appreciate how much inspiration there is on twopeas gallery and feel that it needs to be preserved. Members have to transfer their own galleries though.

I think Etsy counts sales as individual items sold, not the number of buyers who purchased from you. I guess I need to pay more attention.

I agree.
It's nice that they're giving people this option, since 2peas handled it all so badly.

And a while back scrapbook.com (keeping memories alive) and scrpabookS.com combined. Not sure of all the details, but KMA no longer is online (if anywhere at all)

Just because I have wished them well, and that I have posted no attacks on K&J does not make me them. They are not hated by everyone you know. You have misquoted me as to exactly what I did indicate in my post. I don't think that mentioning that peas do a lot for one another in this instance washes what they do (attack, trash, etc.) for a totally unrelated topic. I think that some of what I have read about what people "think" has happened is just mean. Suggesting that maybe they divorced? That they are bankrupt? You would hate for your close friends and neighbors and business associates hear rumors about you along those lines. I come here because I was hoping that the mentality of some would have changed from being at Two Peas, that maybe, just maybe there would not be so much of the same meanness or suggesting rumors. I guess I will have to wait and see.
