There is a thread on the Scrapping board about 2Peas opening an Etsy store to sell their flair and wood veneer. Looks like they opened it June 10.

I saw that there, too. I don't intend to become a customer, but it looks like they've had a decent amount of sales so far.

Someone on one of my project life boards said when they clicked on a product in the actual Two Peas store, it took them to scrapbooks.com. Strange..

Maybe they sold out all their old leftover inventory to scrapbook.com? that would be about the only smart business thing they've done.

I don't know why this makes me mad but it does. Especially since they have one name at the top and then the twopeas name in small underneath. That's really really crappy!

I don't get it. Why shut down their store and everything they've built to just go to Etsy?
And they can't be selling leftover product yet, their store is still open isn't it?

The whole thing is really strange to me! I also thought it was weird that only Jeffrey is listed as owner. And why not include the etsy store as part of the closing announcement letting us know we could still buy their fabulous flair and wood veneers??

wth? I just checked it and they already have almost 100 sales, in around 2 weeks! That's huge. Well, maybe not huge, they are selling 79 cent items!

Just a thought that came to me anyone think some disgruntled peas are buying said 79 cent items just to be able to leave bad feedback to their store? I know some people are really angry at them for a lot of things. (not me btw just a weird what if thought that came to me)

I wonder if they split up and couldn't agree on terms so closed 2peas? Just a theory.

It's not a crime to want to succeed! No, it's not, but I don't think selling 79c items on Etsy is anyone's idea of a success story. In fact, by the time someone pays the Etsy fees Paypal fees, and COGS, (Cost of Goods Sold) you're losing money on a 79c item.

THAT would be a really shitty thing to do. Before coming to 2peas many years ago I had never ever met a bunch of vindictive people! It is mind boggling!!

I have an Etsy store, with items that are lower prices and it is a nice little stream on income and I am not loosing $$. People don't really know what us going on and all the "theories" of what has happened are sometimes crazy! No wonder people have so much hate, a lot if it gets based on made up guesses and rumors!!!!

I don't get why they have "to see our full store, go to www.twopeasinabucket.com" on there? ? Did you not know that you would be closing that website a month later?

It doesn't make any sense to me. It looks like on a $.79 item they'd make $0.29, is it even worth it? The shipping is only $1.50 which would have to be a plain, untracked envelope as to my knowledge even a 1 ounce package costs more than that.
