I will start by naming a trend from last season or earlier, or today, or one I predict (or hope) will catch on in the future. I am hoping we will be discussing scrapbooking &/or paper rafting styles rather than manufacturers or specific products.
The he next person will comment on that trend. Are/were/would you be a fan? Why or why not? Did you/do you/would you use this style? How? What types of projects?
Then name a trend for the next person to discuss.

Okay... Here goes... YESTERDAY: creating that heritage look with every LO. Uber distressing, crumpling, inking ( usually in brown) I hated this style. I am very clean and simple & heritage stuff always looks fussy. TODAY: Flair Buttons SaveSave

pink, aqua, and gold - I have 3 girls, so I should be using that combo, right? I don't think I have. I don't use a lot of foils in general.
YESTERDAY: Tear bears

Spray mists... I still use them every once in a while, mostly on cards though.

When I started I cut photos into hearts and ovals...I really regret it now!
Today - One picture on a page - do it or not?

One picture on a page - do it or not? I love how it looks, but I have too many pictures to scrap to do that, usually! I will do it once in a blue moon though. YESTERDAY: Sticker sneeze!

Post by Mel on Mar 21, 2018 15:07:22 GMT
Oh boy! I have a few sticker sneezes!! I rarely use regular stickers anymore. I tend to use cardstock stickers or other embellies more.

Yesterday: shaker boxes
Today: Puffy stickers

Post by grammadee on Mar 21, 2018 17:22:25 GMT
I don't use a lot of puffy stickers. I only get them if they are part of a collection or kit. I tend to give depth to regular stickers by adding liquid glue.
Today: create your own backgrounds with stencils, stamps, pastes and inks?

Today: create your own backgrounds with stencils, stamps, pastes and inks? I wish I had time for that. I love the creativity of it.

Unicorns and Mermaids - never used them as I have boys.
Yesterday - Junkitz Zippers

Yesterday: Junkitz Zippers. I actually had to google this as I had never heard of it. I found some images and had to do a search to find some examples on a layout. One was of a brand spanking new baby, a Junkitz, and the title was "unzipped." Interesting thought....
Today: using water color (in all the different forms) on a layout.

Today: using water color (in all the different forms) on a layout. All for it. I love mixed media in general. I don't use it as much as I should though.

So not into the gem shapes, to girly and modern. My style is more subtle.
Yesterday: large silk flowers

I rocked a fe of this making memories large daisies. Now I mostly use them on craft projects and home decor.
now: smaller than 4 X 6 photos. DO you use them? Do you use them for variation or just to get more photos on a page.
|
|
|
Post by grammadee on Mar 22, 2018 2:39:32 GMT
Smaller photos: I print most of my photos as 4x6, but often cut them down before gluing to the page, mostly to 4x4, but sometimes smaller. I usually do this to fit more on the page. Not a fan of one tiny photo on a whole 12x12 page swamped with embellishments.
Future trends: Do you see yourself as moving more to digi pages?

digital pages: pardon my french, but hell to the no! i do not see any appeal in digital.

past: owls, mushrooms, and woodland creatures

Owls, mushrooms and woodland animals: the ironic thing is, I love all 3 of those and so have collected many papers/embellishments with them on it but for the life of me can't really use them on my pages. I have used some on my cabin/lake adventures pages.
Past/present: sewing or stitching on layouts.

Sewing on layouts— I have no time for that but know people who have made beautiful (albeit time consuming!) pages like that. Past: paper piecing (I still love it, just saying )
