Future: using filters on photos which make them look like an oil painting Nope!! Don't see that being a trend in my pages! Past/Present: Monochromatic

I haven't tried those kinds of altering filters except in Photoshop to get a more accurate photo. It might be cool for a photo I have of my dog though. Not sure I would use it for anything else . . . well, maybe a sunset.

Monochromatic: I like to try this once in awhile, especially with shades of blue.
Ink every edge: I waffle back and forth: some pages get everything inked and some get none. Have never felt the need to ink every. single. piece. Sometimes I glue the piece down first, then edge it with a sharp pen to get the effect of a definite edge.

color-blocking templates were never my thing. i'm the most awkward scrapper ever and trust me, i'd have screwed it up somehow!

Frogs as the next random animal: could be cute for cards and for boy scrapbook pages, or for girly princess pages. Otherwise, I doubt I'd use them

Yesterday: double page spreads. I still do them, maybe 1/10 layouts? To accomodate a whole story or event rather than a "moment" or a "pretty picture". I'll never stop!

Mixed media. I love it. I didn't realize I was doing it before. I just enjoy it. I get to be creative in a different way and use up some product I don't love as much.
Tomorrow. What crazy colour will they use for Christmas this year .... Orange?

Future Christmas colour? You might be right @scrapington on with orange: we have done pink and blue and purple. Maybe yellow?

Present: mixing lots of different patterns/colours on one page IMHO using the pint/quart/gallon approach can yield a balanced, interesting, & eclectic layout; otherwise, you risk the page resembling the scrapbook clearance section at the dollar store.

present: tangled thread or thread nests - I like the look of tangle thread. I usually use twine or embroidery floss but that's just because I'm too lazy to go grab out a spool of thread.

Emojis: I have the Simple Stories Emoji Love collection and have been using it for birthday cards for my early teen dgk's and nieces. Have yet to use on a page, though. I DID use a cupcake top die to make an embellishment a couple of years ago for the page about the "poop hat" one of the kids won at a midway game...

Mushrooms... Hmmm... I have a few of the cutesy ones from when my dgd's were really into fairies. But although I have used a few on cards, not many have found their way onto a page.

I'm not big into tearing edges. I did it in a few classes I took, but it's not my thing.
Past: Paper Piecing without a die-cut machine (e.g. coloring pages, printed images)

Lettering templates I got rid of a few years ago, but now I am thinking I might want to invest in some to use as stencils for mixed media...
Tearing edges used to scare me, but now I do it a lot for edges of strips and for whole matts. I like the way it frees me up from having to keep everything lined up perfectly straight. Also like the look of a torn edge inked.
Paper piecing: when I started scrapbooking there were very few embellishments, so I made my own. One of my favorites was a paper doll I used on several of my dd's pages. I cut it several times, used brads at the joints to let it assume different sports positions.

Yesterday/Past: Mulberry Paper, never used it but I do have a couple of pieces. Today: Dry embossing (with the stylus) I used to do dry embossing with a stylus. Used a set of two stencils with the cs between them and a mouse pad underneath. For a few pages, I even hand cut the images out of heavy cs (like the backing from paper pads). Two cutouts. My fingers and wrists still hurt when I think of it... Was I glad to get a Cuttlebug and use embossing folders? Heck ya! Today: enamel dots? All the time? On a few projects? Meh...?

Enamel dots- I like them. I used to use a lot of brads but the enamel dots are better because they come in so many different sizes.

Buttons: Love using specialty ones. Plain ones, I never seem to use them very much.
Past: Doodling. Remember when this was a phase? I think Elsie Flanagan (sp?) started it.
