I’m want to buy some new embossing powder colors to add to my collection. What is your favorite non-basic color (black, gold, silver, white, clear, christmas red /green) that you use the most. I did just buy some rose gold that I love.

Um, I don't think that's the link you meant to post. I looked up Judikins Extreme Peacock embossing powder and found this on Amazon: Extreme PeacockI found this on JoAnn's: Judikins embossing powdersP.S. The extreme peacock does look really pretty. I was just looking at my embossing powders over the weekend. I had a few out and was thinking I needed some new colors. Timely thread!

Aside from clear, white, and black, my next-most-used colors of embossing powder are both from Ranger's Ancient Gold line: Enchanted Gold, and Antique Gold. There are quite a few other gold shades in the line. I'm thinking I might need to try the Gilded Gold color.

Scrappinwithoutpeas, Your "Um" is making me laugh out loud! That was definitely the wrong link! Here's the correct link: www.joann.com/judkins-2-oz-embossing-powders-1pk/14560650.html I really like the way colors are mixed in individual powders. Just FYI in re my mistake: Our Illinois primary really was interesting!

I mostly use detail clear, clear sparkle, gold, and white.
I also have red, green glitter, copper, galaxy blue (navy with sparkles), pearl, translucent gold...but don't really use them at all. I should dig them out.
ETA: The Judikins brand is excellent. I have some that is close to 20 years old and still works great. I've had other brands of EP that did not hold up like the Judikins has. Ranger is another great brand.

I wish they sold sampler packs of EP like they used to. Each vial held half the amount of a regular container but was large enough to return unused powder to the vial. I would definitely buy seasonal colors this way, especially pastels.

I haven't tried them in a while, but have y'all found the American Crafts Zing embossing powder to hold up well? I have a ton, so I am debating keeping them.

Zing powders are very good too. But I use a lot of embossing powder, and Zing comes in small quantities. I like Judikins' 2 oz sizes, and I haven't seen her color mixes anywhere else. Ranger used to make a huge variety and published an embossing powder recipe book so you could mix your own colors. But they don't make a lot of those powders anymore. I don't use white, black or clear as much as colors, and Judikins is easier than mixing my own colors.

I tend to just use the basics in embossing powders but the one that I seem to use the most outside of the standard colours and that I love the look of is American crafts Zing in Metallic Purple. It is not too dark and not too light and has a lovely pearly/metallic sheen.

Seth Apter has some new embossing powders called baked texture. They’re fun to play with and you can use them several different ways. This video has an overview. Seth Apter

I like liquid platinum & silver pearl both from Ranger. There was also a pretty deep blue in a Simon kit last has been useful.

I like the silver pearl from Ranger as well. Ranger also makes a nice black sparkle powder.
