I second Paper Issues and SG. ACOT is going to cost you a bundle when you move to Alaska. I live on the West coast and shipping is crazy expensive from them, so I just don’t order from them. I like that SG has a bank it program, you can order a small order or a big order and they will ship for free when your orders reach 75.00. You also earn rewards when you shop which is nice. They don’t carry all the lines I like though, so I use Paper Wishes as well. Fairbanks is going to be a big change for you and your girls, but I think you will love it! It is very different then the lower 48, but a lot of fun. Enjoy some sourdough pancakes for me when you get there. And take the girls to the ice museum, the ice slide is really fun. I will most definitely check out both. I didn't even THINK about comparing AK shipping prices. I know it's super expensive to ship there. Yikes. Thanks so much for the recs- that bank it program is an amazing idea. I'm honestly half excited, half terrified about AK. I know it's going to be a beautiful adventure for us. I have never met a single person that didn't LOVE living there. That has been so encouraging to me. It's just the getting there that's overwhelming. I feel like the older I get, the harder it is for me to leave. Praying that my attitude improves soon, ha! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. xoxo

Hi and welcome stephhowell . I remember you from 2peas too. I was more of a lurker there though. For shopping, I like ACOT, Paper Issues, Bayview Scrappers. Paper issues has a really fun fb group. We have a 2peasrefugee flickr group where we share our creative endeavors. Feel free to sign up and share there as well. Glad to see you back to scrapbooking. I'm sorry that it's under such stressful circumstances. "Hugs". Thank you so much for the links, Lisa. I definitely need to start sharing again too. Man...I miss the old days so much!

Welcome back. There are so many new things to try in scrapbooking, especially if you lean toward the mixed media stuff. I am glad your parents are okay, more or less. I have never tried MM, but I'm not averse to it. I need to get better at trying new things!

Welcome back! I also use it as a stress reliever. I go to my "happy place" every night after dinner for an hour or two. Check out the gallery for inspiration. There are some really talented scrappers here. I totally will carve out some gallery time this weekend. And "happy place"...I love that. xoxo

Hey Stephanie, welcome back to scrapping! I remember you, I used to read your blog all the time, you lived in Italy right? I can't help with where to shop cause I'm in the UK but glad to see you back and I hope your Mum & Dad are both well again soon. Oooh I didn't even think about Etsy! Yes, we did live in Italy and I miss it terribly. Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for your kind words!

Welcome back! Not sure if Project Life interests you or not, but man...I have been raking in all the old sets that people are now destashing and selling cheap on Ebay and on the Project Life buy/sell group on Facebook. I still make "real" pages but love PL for getting pics in an album FAST.

I do some art every day, and it really does help me to re-center and feel better when things in the real world are challenging. Making pages for round robin journal swaps, or following a Gelli plate tutorial or some other you tube video is probably my favorite thing to do.
It must be very stressful for you right now, with a lot of uncertainty. It’s great you’re making time for yourself.

All of the children are absolutely precious and I'm also partial to Sadie but I recently discovered the joy and nicely brief nature of Stories on Instagram and I *LOVE* when there's a Cora spotlight. What a huge spirit in a tiny, cute little package. I also like the book stuff.
Scrapbook Generation is wonderful. You can't go wrong shopping there.

Sometimes when life feels out of your control it is nice to habve one thing that brings you comfort. I have had a lot of life changing things happen and believe me, scrapping has been my fall back therapy. :-)

Welcome back to scrapping. I cannot give too much advice on where to buy supplies as I live in Spain but for sure some kit clubs can be fun.

I just got back to scrapbooking myself due to family issues including moving, my Mom’s death and then my brother’s death, plus other things. I haven’t slept well in a long time. Then the last five nights I slept like a log after scrapping. Then I read an article that said that if you can find just 15 minutes a day to do something artsy, it does something to your stress hormone, cortisol, and helps your body. I thought about it and I can get lost in thought while doing a page. I guess for a while you are thinking about something else besides your worries. Whatever it is, I plan to keep on scrapping because I’m also having fun and that’s been missing in my life for a while now due to grieving.

callmenutz I'm sorry for your loss. I hadn't heard the connection between doing artsy things and stress hormones but I'm glad to hear it's helping you.

HIIIII Steph! So good to see you here after your hiatus. I was out of the scrapping world for nearly 4 years and it seems like the industry has taken a few zigs and zags over the last few years.
I sub to Hip Kit Club (which totally reminds me of your style) and Citrus Twist Kits - which gives me enough of the new stuff to actually be productive.
Welcome back, love!

I'm very sorry for your losses callmenutz. I'm glad crafting is helping you cope with your stress. btw, I read the same thing about creating art being linked to lowering cortisol levels. Pretty cool.
