These cards are so popular and cute. I been wanting to make but have never gotten around to it. For those who make them post a picture of your card. I want to see what your cards look like.

I've made a couple. I found it easier a long time ago than I did this last time. I created a shaker card last July. It was warpy. I don't know what I did differently. Maybe the glue. 07-09-17_ldi_2934 by Lisa Davolt, on Flickr I have some of the Jillibean Soup shaker shapes to make a card with and I'll be trying that soon.

Love them. Have had trouble getting them to work. The struggle for me was to get a consistant foam backing that wouldn't leak out the filling. (also getting a filling that had large enough elements that wouldn't sneak out). I find them a little easier to make now that I have purchased: *Sticky back foam from Paper Wishes: I can diecut a foam frame that goes behind the top layer and holds in the shaky bits *A set of rectangle dies that I can use to diecut the foam frame. Mine are Memory Box. *Sequins to use for shaking. Micro beads are a good choice too. And I like to throw in some surprise elements like the gears in the last card. I have also had some heavy chunks work (like the gold in the first card), but glitter---which was my first choice--is too fine. Here are some I made in the last few months: a couple of shaker bd cards by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Happy [heart] day by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I also have a set of Jillibean Soup sets. They are easier to use: the little acrylic cup is easy to fill, and fits right into the pre-cut hole in the card front. Have made a few cards with the set, but have no photos of any of them. They seem quite "fat" for mailing.
