This morning there were 3 loud booms (fireworks) at the times that the planes went down on 9-11. At first, I thought it was gun shots or a gas explosion, etc. We were waiting to hear fire trucks or ambulance, but nothing arrived and then realized it really was fireworks. I felt unsettled all day. This happened in a diverse, transitional area of Denver. Very strange.....

So it was likely someone's idea of 'funny' to do that? People have the strangest ideas sometimes. Yesterday a guy told me he committed voter fraud at each election and got his knickers in a twist when I said it wasn't funny and in poor taste.

I wouldn't have taken it as humor or a prank but someone's idea of commemorating/acknowledging the event. Just like someone would shoot off a gun or ring a bell, etc.
