It was this past weekend. Was it good? What did I miss? I wasn't able to go this year.

It WAS good! So much better than being at the Gaylord. It will be in Irving, again, next year.
The best part for me was the crop, and that all booths were craft related, as opposed to a couple of clothing booths over the last few years.

Thanks for responding. I went last year. I don't remember a clothing booth, but I tend to ignore anything I have no interest in.
I'm glad to hear it was a better venue than the Gaylord, and that they will do it there again next year. I'm not sure if Irving is closer than Grapevine for me, but I hope to make it back again next year.
I go mostly for the shopping. I have no LSS near me.

Yes - I went! I loved, loved loved it being in Irving (that is where I live so much better for me). I thought the venue was so much better than Gaylord as everything was closer together. Parking was only $10 as well. I did not go to the crops but I'm planning on doing that next year for sure. I took 4 classes and shopped both days. Lots of good vendors. A new vendor this year was selling vinyl and they were so nice! My friend bought A TON of vinyl from them & they had a super cute $1 make & take where you could make a little pencil bag & vinyl I Love Crafting on it. We got to use their heat press & that was fun. Saw some really new products at Nicole Petersen's booth and others there were selling the Tim Holtz Glass Mat so there were some cool things there. I got some good deals as well from the usual booths - Echo Park, PhotoPlay, etc. Overall, I had a blast with my besties and can't wait for the June GASC show!!

I was going to go. I had signed up for classes, but had to cancel at the last minute. Thankfully they refunded me my money. I'm glad to hear the new venue was good. Irving is farther for me to go, but the Gaylord was so spread out. And I hated the parking.

Thanks for responding!
I hope the vinyl vender comes to GASC, too! I'm even sorrier that I missed the Expo now. I love HTV and regular vinyl, too. I am planning to go to GASC with a friend who is coming to visit. I went alone to three stamping and scrapping conventions. I still enjoyed them, but going with a friend is a lot nicer.
I checked the map, and it does look like Irving is farther to drive for me than the Gaylord, but not a huge distance at least. I think everyone hated the parking situation at the Gaylord, and the fact that they double booked events (the reason the Expo changed venues rather suddenly) was inexcusable. I can see why the Expo is going to be at Irving again next year.

Anyone go to the crop? I heard the seating was different this year. Instead of groups of 4 it's groups of 8. Is that true? Where do the middle people put their bags?

We had groups of 8 at the Ontario Expo last year. I think there was still about 4' for each, so there was room for bags next to you. It didn't seem too crowded. I think they list the amount of room in the FAQ section somewhere.

Our Expo isn't until the end of September. Long wait.
